                            Reina
      Johnson    Agger     Skrtel   Insua
                     Lucas      Gerrard
      Benayoun         Voronin      Riera
                             Kuyt

About time Carra got a rest, making too many mistakes and he needs to sort himself out ahead of Sunday. Until Masch gets his head together, I certainly don't want him anywhere near the team so I won't be going with him. About time Voronin got a game too, did more in 10 mins against Sunderland than any other player. I was tempted to put N'Gog up top but Dirk has a knack of scoring in the CL so he gets the nod for me.

I'm feeling pretty confident that there will be a good reaction tomorrow night.

2-0 to the Reds. Yossi and Voronin with the goals.

      Torres out of Lyon clash.
      Torres blow for Tuesday.
Fernando Torres has failed to recover from his injury in time to face Lyon on Tuesday in the UEFA Champions League.

Torres missed the weekend loss at Sunderland with a muscle problem he picked up whilst on international duty.

He sat out training on Monday morning, whilst fellow injury victim Steven Gerrard joined the rest of the squad.

But now Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez has confirmed that his star striker will not be fit to face the French giants at Anfield, although he could still face Manchester United at the weekend.

"Torres is still not ready. Hopefully he will be for the weekend, but not for this game," said Benitez - who confirmed his skipper Gerrard has recovered from his groin problem.

"Steven is fit. He has been training so hopefully he will be available tomorrow.

"It is important as we have had some problems with injuries since the start of the season, so having Gerrard fit is a big boost for us

To be honest i would rather him not be back for this game than him be risked and then being ruled out of the game against United.

I know mate but I thought his injury was just a knock, because he was on the bench for Spain on Wednesday so I presumed he was fine. :(

I know what you mean fella.

Thing is though, the Spain team haven't got a clue when it comes to dealing with Torres, if they had sent him back straight away i expect he would have been fine for tomorrow.

International teams don't care about players don't think about the risk that it could cause in the following weeks.

Yet if they are unable to be selected due to an injury they throw an absolute hissy fit.

I heard a rumour that they are trying to fine clubs if they say that a player can't be called up for Internationals but then play in the next club game. Belgium tried doing it will Fellaini this weekend.

IMO the FA should make a ruling for National teams to ask permission of the clubs to allow players to play. Therefore we would have a fully fit team.

Haven't watch Lyon so far this season - do they still play with one up front or has that changed to two now?

Two good strikers in Lisandro and Gomis. Not sure if they play up top together though.

Forecast light rain aswell for most of tomorrow afternoon/evening. Should be a nice slick passing pitch.

Let's hope my 2-0 prediction comes true!

Do not know what to expect, essential we get a confidence boosting result. I think it is a good idea to give Carragher a much needed break. Sadly I would not like to predict the result could indeed go either way! Hopefully to the Reds.

I have no idea why, but I've just had a real burst of optimism about tomorrow.  I think we'll do it.  I'm going for a 2-0 as well.  Providing Stevie is 100%, I wouldn't mind seeing this team:

      Pepe

      Johnson   Skrtel  Agger  Insua

      Yossi  Gerrard  Lucas/Masch  Riera

      Kuyt  Voronin

If Stevie is on the bench then centre mid of Lucas and Masch.

      Come on you Reds!

No problems with that team bar Aurelio left mid. Not convinced.
