I thought Fabio moving and playing into the centre of the park at times was brilliant. I am seeing glimpses of his talent as a CM.

That was a real TEAM performance today, they all fought for each other, and all helped each other out, that's what I expect to see week in week out, not just against the big teams.

Torres made the difference today though didn't he, his presence on the field was all we needed, and I knew the breakthrough would come eventually, and it was fitting tribute that he scored the opening goal.

5th in the league, 4 points behind the scum, so it's game on boys and girls.

Trying hard not to get carried away, but I can't help it. Good to see Jamie back to his best marshalling the defence.


Did anyone else see Sami in the stands cheering us on.?


And just tell me who the hell is Michael Owen

that made me laugh too.  Thought he had a really good game today.  He's turned it around.  Well done Jamie lad!  I've voted for him as motm just for that.  Although Pepe, Johnson, Agger, Masch, Lucas, Yossi or Torres could have got it.  In fact everyone played so well.  Only one I thought struggled at times in the first half was young Insua, but he was more than helped out by Fabio, Masch and Lucas, which was good to see.  And he kept at it, so well in Insua!

We played as a team today, the hunger and desire were back.  Fanbloodytastic!  Totally bossed them off the park.

i am one of Lucas's biggest critics, but I honestly thought he was man of the match today. he was defending when he needed to, breaking down the middle and had a great chance to score as well.. a few silly free's but all in all by far his best performance in the red.. he silenced me today i'm sure he silenced a few others too.. to think now we have Aqualani to come back with Stevie.. all of a sudden there is serious competetion for middle of the park..fantastic..it's lucas spot to lose after that performance..

Everyone played brilliantly both CB,s looked solid as steel, everyone put in an outstanding performance.

How come Fabio Aurelio is not a contender for man of the match for me he was brilliant helped Insua out perfectly and made a couple of good runs and cross field passes.

He was very good, as was the whole side, but 5 or 6 is enough to choose from.

Post match piss up is right! 913am here in the states and im already on me fourth! F**kin get in what a win!!

All were just so strong today. Kuyt and Benayoun (or Benanoun to the commentator) were both strong in support of Torres, and Torres. Well like we all know, he can just pop up with the goods. Really was being beaten out of the game by the roughness of the manure defense, but one little bit of space and he punished like the hammer of Thor.
The defense was absolutely brilliant today. A few scares, but against united what do you expect? As far as clear chances we really held out well, and Carra was f**king brilliant. Still looks to be caught out a bit more than he used to be, but he is cheeky enough to not get caught out to much Only downside really is Mascha's red, bit unnecessary but at least he is showing some real fight again, he was good today. Same with Lucas, really good game. Just needs to work on his bloody shooting!!
N'gog showed brilliant composure in that closer at the end. Sometimes those chances can be the toughest for a younger player, but he teased and placed to perfection.

Gonna be on the top of the world for f**king ages, absolutely brilliant. To all my fellow red's here, let's really enjoy this. Long way to go yet, but after the darkness of the last few weeks let's just soak it up. Cheers!

Couldn't believe just how good Carragher was today.

An absolute rock, put his body into everything and I don't remember anything getting past him. He was F***ing awesome. Back to the Jamie that we know and love. Wonder if he's put that bad spell behind him.
