I got a ticket but I'm really not arsed about the game on Wednesday, as I've said previously an empty stadium would send a little bit of a message to them two yank tw*ts.

The games against Wigan and Wolves were/have been on sale for years as well. When I was struggling to get tickets I jumped at the chance to go to a youth cup game, let alone the first team.

No it isn't, what's just around the corner, Christmas.

Chrimbo games have never been sell-outs, people have to spend money on the family etc, so a nothing game against these ities isn't going to be a sell-out

If the club had any decent sense about them they would have thought about putting the prices down for this game for a start.  Im sorry but there's no way im paying £40 a ticket plus £10 train fare or petrol money plus money for a programme and food to go and watch (if were all brutally honest a rather meaningless game of football)

Tickets should have been reduced to £20 in my opinion.  That doesn't make me not a genuine supporter ive been to all the smaller games this season including Burnley and Stoke but i think its mad to pay that amount for a ticket with christmas just around the corner.

The thing is dryder 1, I've got a ticket for this game, and fully intend to show my support to the lads. I had to say whether I wanted a ticket for this match BEFORE the game against Debrecen, if the game against Lyon and Fiorentina had turned out differently, this game could have meant everything.

My trip on Wednesday will cost me in the region of about £140, but I'm so glad just to be going, I obviously wish it did mean something, and I know Anfield will not be a full house on Wednesday, which is a shame.

It's a good point, but don't the club have to set the price of tickets before the tournament with Uefa actually kicks-off, whereas with the League Cup and Fa Cup the club can alter the price of tickets, depending on who we play.
