Watch an hour with Michael Shields

He spent over four years locked in a prison cell for a crime he didn't commit - and now Michael Shields gives his most in-depth TV interview yet about how Istanbul changed his life.
Shortly after receiving a royal pardon from Justice Secretary Jack Straw, Shields was joined by his father Michael Snr and Mother Maria in our LFC TV studios to reflect on the last four harrowing years of his life.

During the feature-length interview, Shields talks about:

Growing up a Liverpool fan with his dad
His Istanbul adventure and celebrating Liverpool being crowned European Champions.
      The night of his arrest
The trial and the realisation of being handed a 15-year sentence
The battle to clear his name
The justice campaign and fans' support
      Meeting Rafa and the players
      Being set free
      The future

Michael's parents reveal their personal hell as their son was locked away in a faraway prison, and talk about the ongoing quest to have the conviction quashed by the Bulgarian authorities.

"Michael Shields: The Big Interview" will air for the first time on our free television channel, LFC TV, from 11pm on Monday November 9 (repeated 11pm Wednesday November 11), but if you're an e-Season Ticket holder you can watch the show in full online now.
