That sale is probably so full of clauses top ups and percentages of his next transfer who knows what he could net us if he turns out to be a good signing for them and gets snapped up by some one else for a bigger fee.

Flip side is of course, if he turns into this great player, we've missed out big time.

Any amount of "potential" clauses doesn't make this seem good business to me.

A reliable source that I can't name told me that we won't be signing Messi in the Summer.

Obviously thats the case Ayrton and I don't disagree for that price, it's bad business if he was to go on and become a great player, however Mavinga has quite possibly being tipped for a role in the squad next season given Auerlio's contract situation and maybe Buchtman has been deemed surpluss to requirements..who knows ?

Exactly, like people saying they've heard he hasn't been pulling his weight on the training ground, just speculation and rumours.

None of us know, and maybe selling him was the correct decision.

I just can't help but vent some frustration when I see us struggling in the transfer market, year after year.

Don't know if this means anything but i just saw Thierry Henry walking around Anfield in a liverpool shirt and tracksuit holding hands with Rafa.

      Could be nothing though.

I thought she was banging Ngog anyway?  :-\

      haha

just seen this on the live BBC feed:

1549: Now this is why I came to work at ridiculous o'clock this morning: there's a rumour that Liverpool are making a very, very, very late bid to sign Galatasaray's prodigiously-talented Turkish winger Arda Turan, who was brilliant during Euro 2008. True? Who cares?

Anyone know if this fella is as good as all the hype surrounding him. I haven't seen him play even once

About 6 minutes to go and I've just got a text saying we're signing John Coffey on a free.

Bringing in a miracle worker up front is quite possibly a very good strategy.

For all it's worth, I've just heard that apparently there is still hope of an "attacking signing" as well as that Greek defender.

Liverpool to let Valencia sign Milan Jovanovich on a free and will then sell David Silva to Liverpool in exchange for 16million pounds.

I can't reveal my source but he's pretty close to Silva's gardener's brother-in-laws hairdresser who reckons that all they're waiting for is Jovanovich to agree on wages

      Henry to come to Liverpool?
Ok this is just what ive been told and curious to see if anyone knows anything on it but i was talking to a friend of mine and he told me that Henry has been transfer listed by Barcalona and Liverpool will buy him in the summer, i do know henry did say if he ever played for another english club it would be Liverpool but then he also said when he left for Barcalona and divorced his wife its because he hated everything english.

Maybe hes changed his mind, i would get him even though he is 32 now he would be cheap and could play behind Torres and we all know he can score goals.

      Opinons?

I would of said yes 5 or 6 years ago but not now,I think he has had his best days.If he was to come to Anfield and prove me wrong by doing a Gary Mc I would be delighted, but honestly I cannot see it.

      Certainly wouldn't be against it.

Sure he'd be a "handy" player to have around - bet the Irish reds are with me on this.

Would be a good buy if we can get him on the cheap, because i cant see us getting any decent amount from Twit & tw*t to spend over the summer.

I think if we did get him, being french, he could give N'Gog some advice, and his (Henrys) goal record in the EPL is 2nd to none.

Is there a link or something where we could see this rumour/article
