Seemed to be getting better and moving about more but today has been on the nebuliser and complained of chest pains. Keeps calling for me and doesn't want me to go tonight. Nurse has said just need to get some phlegm off his chest and pain probably comes from muscles etc. Feeling absolutely shattered.work have been useless. One poxy day dependant leave and probably would have to use my own leave.brother was told by his manager just leave it to me and not worry. No way can i sleep at all tonight.really feel like telling work to F**k off.

Feel for you there, mate. Would it not be worth taking your own leave now, for ease, and then disputing it at a later date when it's all calmed down? Just trying to think of the smoothest process while you're in the eye of the storm, so to speak.

May be wrong here mate but are you a Civil Servant? Think I remember you saying something one time which made me think that you were (could be wrong and maybe a different poster, so apologies if so)

I am and I know we can use anticipated leave a month before our leave actually starts (in exceptional curcumstances, which yours obviously is)

Trying to unwind after much confusion and an unforgettable trip in an 'ambulance' driven by some slightly mad woman, dad has now has moved to a specialist stroke recovery unit. He was looking forward to be home for Christmas but fingers crossed it will help him maintain some quality of life.

I'm sat in the hospital with the Mrs waiting for the arrival of our first born. It's pretty harrowing stuff up to this point, with her being induced early and in agony.

We're up to tramadol at this point, and I dont think it's quite the right time to tell her it will be all worth it in the end!

Just a bit over 17 years ago for my first one. I still remember it like it was yesterday. Prayers for a healthy little one and a healthy momma. It's going to be the most remarkable thing you'll ever experience....and hopefully you'll get to see us lift 19 later this year to add to your joy!

Hope everything goes well FOAR, I was induced with my first born and ended up with an epidural, all well worth it in the end though and they will be your pride and joy for ever and will bring you so much happiness. Good luck, lots of pampering to your good lady.

We're back home now, mother and baby are well but it got a bit ropey in there at the end he was delivered by emergency cesarean. Can't describe the feeling of worry at that time, then relief, then pure joy and emotion when the moment arrives.

The staff at Warrington were amazing under very difficult circumstances and under clear tight budgets they have to juggle too.

Anyway my beautiful baby boy Arlo arrived at 3.50AM on Wednesday the 15th of January, weighing just 5 pound 10 ounces. Hes beautiful and healthy and it's a huge relief to be back home with our family of 3 and the dog to come back tomorrow 🤣.

Now I really need some sleep 😪😪😪
