I can't help who gets to no.1 by being popular, I just collect No.1's! I even had to obtain a copy of  the Scums 'Come on you reds' UK no.1 but refused to buy it so sent the Ex-wife in to buy it!

Was thinking the scums was an aussie punk band i'd missed out on!! Love some Australian rock n roll don't think any of em broke the top ten singles charts there, album chart maybe/yep.

I'm a 58 yr old Pom so my rock and roll is planted firmly in the 50's with Elvis and the rest!

Just knocked a table tennis together. As it happened I was boarding out the loft in the garage and had a few loft panels left over. So I glued together two sets of three panels, put a couple of brackets on the underside to strengthen them. Cut a 6 inch x 4ft board for the net.Got a table tennis bat stencil off the net. Cut out two bats out of a bit of scrap hardboard I had lying about.

Bought 12 good quality balls from Argos (£4) set it up outside, put it on some old stands and away we go...perfect game as well...just unslot them..chuck them back in the garage if rain stops play. 8 x 4.... table tennis..cost 4 quid..

All the bins are being picked up as normal. He's talking about taking garden rubbish and other excess rubbish to the council tip. Been closed since the lockdown and they are now open, hence the long que.

      How come you're moving?

The visa we moved to Aus on in 2018 was scrapped by them and replaced by one that states my wife (who is 11 yrs my junior) is too old to be given permanency!
So we all sat down and had a chat and now we have 12 months in Canada so Bev can complete her PhD in Education psychology and Lucy (daughter) complete her undergrad in Criminology and I'll STILL be collecting records as I'm 60 on Sunday and feel toO old to contribute financially. ;)
All things being equal Bev and Lucy can gain gainful employment afterwards enabling us to stay on a permanent basis, otherwise back to blighty.

Sorry to hear that Cas....a month is time that typically would start the healing process but I suppose now it's going to be an open wound all over again. Prayers for you dear.

Absolutely FL Red, it's so hard for everyone at the moment especially her two daughters, just seems a long time to hang around waiting for the funeral,. but if that's the rules then we have to adhere to them, just doesn't make it any easier.

Getting ready for my Sister's funeral today, it's been over a month since she died, seems such a long time to lay someone to rest, so I'll be glad when today's over with to be honest.  :( RIP Sue YNWA
