Opener of the Nab Cup tonight between West Coast and Essendon. If I hang my aerial out the window, turn off my pc and position a broom in just the right spot I'll get to watch my first ever footy match in HD.

It's actually easier then it sounds as long as the dog doesn't try to jump in the window and ends up knocking the aerial.

Been a lot of sh*t happening back in my native South Australia i have been keeping an eye on through that inter-web thingy. My team in the SANFL, and one of the most successful teams in the history of sport with 36 titles, the Port Adelaide Magpies, have been very close to going under which would be tragic. But, big news today as a South Aussie businessman has stepped in and said he will step up his own sponsorship of the club, virtually clearing all debt and buying the club time to build a new business plan. F***ing cheering, this would be like Liverpool or the New York Yankees going out of business as far as the teams success and history goes. I signed the petition and everything, and im so happy to see they are going to continue :)

Good to hear of the Maggies(the real kind!) survival plan. We can't have the glorious prison-bars fading into the sunset.

      go the mighty bombers !!!

i lived in melbourne for 7 years and when i moved down there from newcastle i had the typical new south welshmens opinion of it bein "a poofters game" . it is a religon there almost and comin from a a state where rugby league was the main code . it took some gettin used to i tell ya . but in the end after goin to many live games and watchin the games with my new born and bred victorian mates i grew to appreciate the game and become a fan .

it still is a bit of a poofters sport though  :lmao:   ;)

Indoor aerial unfortunately I can get 7HD doing that and get SBSHD pretty easy but apart from that no digital channels.

I watched the match in HD last night and I realised that Bruce Mcavaney is a wrinkly b***ard.

Leave Brucie alone! I love his passion for the game and his calling, plus he's a South Aussie!

Yeah it was! I personally don't like that they made the teams play each other in pre-season though, as admittedly it is hardly a game in which they try to win a lot. The players that are out there do of course, but the coaches are often tinkering and experimenting a lot. Takes away from the intense rivalry in proper season games as well. I mean imagine playing Everton in pre-season? Be kinda weird huh.

Still, feels good to beat them ;)

Great win for the Dogs last night I know it's only the Nab Cup but there's a lot of good signs from that game to suggest that we can really challenge for the premiership this year.

I think Rocket Eade can keep him in line he managed to shut Aker up so there's hope. I swear Richo looked like he was crapping himself when he was interviewing Barry after the game.
