Been watching quite abit of it this season for the first time and really enjoying it. Taken a liking for Phoenix and Denver but have an awe about LeBron.

Been watching a bit for a few years now, its exciting to watch. Follow the Knicks (which is NO fun at the moment) but also watch the Portland Trailblazers a bit now since im living just a few hours from there. Also Bogut as well, and then yeah any game the Cavs are in i watch just for LeBron. He is an absolute machine out on the court.

Got tickets for when Knicks play in Portland in March ;D Debating whether to spend some extra and see when the Cavs play up there to, just to see big LeBron in action.

Shattered Knicks lost in OT to the Celtics but a better performance than the first couple weeks of the season.

      Woah, that was class.

You are all making the NBA sound exciting. Might try to get into it.

I don't know much about it, but i've liked Philly for a while.

Nice one Crouchy for starting this thread.

I have been watching the NBA for a while now and been supporting the Pistons. We were boss a few years back; Billups, Hamilton, Wallace, Prince and Rashid Wallace.

That was the team to beat.

But 5-9 this season we are struggling!

Better than us 3-10 Knicks :D

But we can all take heart in that we have some points on the table *cough* New Jersey Nets *cough* ;)

Along with the NHL game I'm seeing in December I really can't wait to see the NBA game I have tickets for, really hope it ends up a good game!

Detroit was the first team i was into simply because i was young and my uncle lives there. Humbled by the Pheonix the other day, though. Not pretty.

      Not pretty at all.

Phoenix hey I love Nash he is a class act used to love his work back at Dallas him and Dirk used to rip sh*t up.

I wish Detroit would sign him.

We almost beat the Celtics the other day though!

A lot of talk for awhile that we may pick up LeBron after this season, as he is coming off contract. Would absolutely love that! The players we have traded some are saying was a move to free up salary space for LeBron and another big signing next year. Really hope so.

I remember reading a year back or so you guys were wanting to bring Lebron in.

I am a bit perplexed as to how Celtic's can afford to have Pierce, Garnett and Wallace on their roster.

So we have a new record set in the NBA tonight! Not one any team would be proud to have though. The New Jersey Nets have played 18 games this season.. and lost every one of them. With the loss tonight, they break the old record of 17 losses to open the season. Really hard to see when they will nab a win because they really are not testing anyone!

I used to be a huge NBA fan and basketball in general when I was younger, but then my passion for football became too big and didnt leave much space for other sports.

I still follow my beloved Utah Jazz in the playoffs though. But its been a while since I followed a full NBA season, which is harder now as I dont have cable tv anymore (with ESPN, which show NBA here in Brazil).

By the way, I'm a Jazz fan mainly because of two names: John Stockton and Karl Malone. Stockton is one of my biggest heroes, a true idol. And Malone was just immense! Special mention to Jeff Hornacek too.

      Those were the days!

Anyone watched Boston vs Miami last night? Awesome. Celtics equalized with only 0.6 seconds left and then won the game in overtime.

Finally had a Knicks game on TV here on the west-coast for the first time in ages, vs Denver Nuggets, one of the better teams in the league this season. Knicks playing for nothing but pride and the 2010 free agency.. and we beat them! Bloody good game it was, Nuggets came out blazing and led 12-0 early and i was pretty pissed off, but Knicks came back and ended up taking it in a tight one 104-109. Danilo Gallinari hammered home the points in his battle with Carmelo Anthony, just a great game.

Also, my NBA experience is only a week away now! Crept up on me, but heading up on the 31st to see the Knicks play the Trailblazers in Portland, which is about 2 and a bit hours from where i live. Can't wait!!

Personally I think the best Basketball games being played is the NCAA Tourney.  When it comes to downright, edge of your seat excitement theirs nothing better than the Sweet Sixteen games to the Championship game. When a 13 ranked team from a no name school beats a #1 like UConn or Duke or UNC its awesome. This year their have been more last second buzzer beaters and upsets than ever.

The NBA just isnt as exciting as it was.  Remember all the Knicks Bulls games and Knicks/Pacers, Lakers/Celtics.  Guys like Jordan, Bird, Magic, Kareem, Barkley, Miller.  Those Celtic Laker games were ALWAYS good. Bird draining a three on the old Parquet floor in the Boston Garden.  Jordan scoring 60 against the Knicks...I just dont get excited anymore for NBA.  I like Lebron. He could be the next Jordan. He has all the tools and skill, but he needs rings. No rings, no comparison to Jordan. Sorry.  Jordan has 6 rings. If he didnt retire in his prime he could of had 2 maybe 3 more.  Those Bulls teams in the 90's were the best ever. Easily.  They could of beaten Birds Celtics and Magics Lakers. No problem. Those Bulls teams just dominated an entire decade of basketball.

Watched a game regarded as 'one of the best' yesterday on ESPN Classic.

It was between the Lakers and the Pistons - think it was '84 or '85.

Lakers had a huge guy in their team who was 41 years of age. Had an Arabic sounding name. He looked class, don't know why I'd never heard of him before. Do you know who I'm on about?

I think your talking about Kareem Abdul Jabbar...Probably one of the top 5 players of all time.  First ballot Hall of Famer, multiple championships, Numerous all star and MVP awards.  Gold Medal from the Olympic "Dream Team". Probably the greatest center to ever play the game. The greatest player of his generation.   This coming from a guy who hated the Lakers his whole life. But, I also respect good players and he was one of the greatest ever.

Do you mean you hate the Lakers? At first I read that as Kareem hated Lakers his whole life but played for them!

He was from the US wasn't he? Sounds like it anyways, when he talks. Awesome player. Funny guy as well.
