We'll get Brazil or Argentina we always do.

As for England I have a feeling they'll get the Kiwis.

For the benefit of this forum, it would be funny if they were in the same group as the Aussies and the yanks!

Think it does as well as I sure there can't be no more than two teams from any one continent in the same group.

I mean any international competition at any level eg, Last World Cup, The Olympics, the recent U21 World Cup (I think it was U21 anyway it was the one in Egypt).

Eight groups of four I believe and England will be seeded.

eg,England,Algeria,Korea REP,Chile.
   

Breaking news on SSN, Ireland have asked FIFA could they be included in the World Cup draw as an extra 33rd team after what happened to them in the play-offs.

Republic of Ireland ask for extra 2010 World Cup place

Fifa's Sepp Blatter has revealed the Republic of Ireland have requested a spot in the 2010 World Cup finals as an extra team after their play-off defeat.

The Republic lost to an extra-time goal against France when Thierry Henry handled the ball during the build-up.

"I will bring it to the attention of the Executive Committee," said Blatter.

The president of football's world governing body added that goal-line technology and extra referees would be considered for the South Africa finals.

Can't believe the paddies are asking for a place, just saw it on Sky. I mean a replay, anything like that would be ok. But a 33rd team at the world cup? Are they F***ing retarded? Who is to say that IF that goal had been disallowed by the ref, that France wouldn't have gone on to score one anyways? They seem to think that the game was a foregone conclusion but for that goal. It is never safe at 1-0!

They wont get Ireland anyways our claim to be the 33rd team was rejected earlier today.

I think we are top seeded but could face Holland or Portugal as their in the 2nd pot and i reckon england will get holland and serbia. if so that be tough..

I fancy Argies if they get their act together but i think Spain will do it or Brazil.

I'm wondering why we(Holland) are seeded in the 2nd group when we won our group without losing a single game and are listed as 3rd in the FIFA world ranking.  Not saying we're 3rd best country, cause we're not. I'm just wondering, what the hell did they base this draw on? Why would France be seeded in the 1st group and we're not? Ahh well.

Its done on previous 5 years or so record I think anyway from an England perspective it doesnt matter.

We will qualify for the 2nd round, win that then get beat in the quarter finals against the first decent team we play.

Oh, we are top seeded afterall. I'm reading now that it was just speculation. Nevermind my previous post now.

Shame the Aussies and USA are in the same pot.  Maybe France? They're are a few honorary French on the boards?

That's what I reckon it'll be.

England should cope the group stages but it's the quater finals as usual that is our stumbling block.
