Poor display, but we got the result. Seeing the players really upbeat and hugging each other at the end is a big positive for me. Hopefully the mood between the players will really grow and we'll come out against Blackburn with confidence and we can kick on.

Pepe Reina - MOTM without a doubt, kept us in the lead with that double save.

Performance was sh*te but a great result.  Lets hope this is the match that finally kick starts our season!  Well played to Yossi and Riera for changing the game when they came on. ;)

Great to get a clean sheet, Reina is a legend wouldn't take any keeper ahead of any other keeper, thought Agger and Carragher were very solid. Thought Johnson got better as the game went on.Thought Masch was decent in midfield.

Don't think I've seen Stevie play as bad in a long while. Thought till was awful till he was switched into his favoured position. I thought Ngog started alright but he disappeared after the first 20 minutes.

Didn't think Lucas played well thought Felliani got the better of him. Insua was alright and I thought Aureilo was awful

Great result for us as Man City, Tottenham and Villa all dropped points yesterday.

Excellent. Not the best performance, but the 3 points is what counts. Hopefully it's the trigger to get Liverpools season back on track.

I F***ing love it to bits!

Hats off to Pepe for that crucial double save. And hats off to Mascherano and Kuyt for banging the goals in for us.

Well, its just one of those where we didn't play that well at all. But 3 points is what matters. And if its against Everton, I don't mind at all.  ;)
As for our defence- what can I say?  :-\. I am sick and tired of saying that our defence has been the worst thing for us this season. Zonal Marking- no comments. It was for all to see.

We maybe called lucky to nick this win, but at the end of the day, its 3 points and a Merseyside derby victory.  ;D

Sometimes you have to win ugly to build your confidence we done that against Debrecen and now against Everton, regardless of what any pundit says i'd rather win ugly then play pretty football and come away with nothing for it.

Up to 5th for a team that has largely been poor in terms of form this season is not too bad at all, come on the redmen lets build on this get our form together and get some confidence and see where we are come May.

      Great Win

Pepe MOTM followed closely by Lucas who was a destructive and marauding force today. Also to be mentioned is a certain Ngog who had class touches but wayned off during the match.

We would have destroyed them with a fit Gerrard. Our captain did not put one foot right today. Except when he lunged into that tackle against their left back!

Great to get the 3 points.  Was nervy till Kuyt came to rescue.  With Torres/Gerrard and Acquilani still to get back to full fitness it's a positive night   ;D

Worst performance I have seen for a long long time. We had nothing to  offer but the punt from defence. I will gladly take the 3 points but we were outplayed by the bitters. They won nearly evey header from their long balls and we were hanging on. The next person who tells me Lucas is improving gets it. He has nothing to offer us. Kettering maybe. Very worried throughout the game and if Jo had a brain they surely would have scored. Worried from Huyton.... Have it bitters..

We were poor today but a great result.

Reina was outstanding today two great saves all he had to do.

      Excellent win lads!

We ground out a win. Scored two and pissed off the Blueshite in their own yard. ;D

Pepe Reina Man of the Match for me. And you couldn't half tell Gerrard was injured. No presence at all.
