bit of a deep one this, something im working on, how to cure the world
what i have done is look at the ten commandments and amended them.
Here is the big question "how de we cure the world of its ills?, the answer is within us all and its not religious"
only read this if you care about the world, yes its my latest project but here goes.
let me start by saying probably 90% of the world population are good people, who live life correctly.
But even these people, have attained bad habits over the years which are detrimental to themselves and the world community.
so we are left with these
dont make yourself an idol
Every day you should restrict work and make some quality time
Respect your father and mother
Do not kill, or encourage anybody to kill
Do not commit adultary
Do not steal
do not lie
Dont be envious of others

In other words live your life in a way that is being True to yourself, and always consider others in what you say and do.
If people acted in this way the world would be half way to solved.
What other problems are major
1. Hunger , now surly this can be solved in this modern age. We have methods of distribution that we never had in the past. Planes regularly fly footstuffs and items thousands of miles every day, we enjoy southern hemesphere fruits in the dead of winter in Europe.
We should also irrigate the edges of deserts with appropriate plants, in time this would form a vegative land type, surly water pipes could be run from the sea, even if this was just salt water it would still encourage life.
2. Poverty, this has come about through human greed and corruption, if the human race is to progress we must work together and realise that this form of living is detrimental to the whole world. Also technology advances should be used to upgrade the worlds resources, for instance simple and inexpensive solar and wind power generated could be set up in the third world, energy makes advancement, and all sorts of problems can be solved, like pumping water for irrigation of crops.
3. over-population, This does not exist, it is a falacy, in real terms you could fit every person on the world into Australia and give them each a generous portion of land, and the rest of the world would be totally un-populated. Although greed from one set of the populus will lead to an unbalanced distribution of food. This greed is ingrained in the culture of certain countries, and is thought of as being just the norm.
4. Crime, could this ever be erradicated, maybe, maybe not, but it could certainly be almost erradicated if people lived true to their thoughts and hearts. What does this mean, basically, they need to follow the guidelines that we have set out, and also use their common sense.
5. look at the ethics of what you watch on TV or read. What do i mean by this, basically violence and corruption which is glorified by the media, one example would be gangster films, although these things are entertaining we should look at why people look up to criminals and glorify them in their minds, is this a macho thing. In essense, we should have a freedom to watch what we want to but we should ask ourselves why do i think this criminal is a hero, when in real life this person would be a horrifying and a terrifying person to have around your neighbourhood.
6 Religion, - obviously if people have beliefs then that is up to them, the trouble begins when they twist their religions and preach it to others. It must be stated that this is done by a small minority of followers and the vast majority find benefits in their religions. But religion in general does create divisions among populations. Religion should be a personal thing, and kept in your mind for your benefit, and not preached to others, each person has their own ideas, and should not be bullied into ideas by fear.
7. Violence, this is the easiest one of all, if nobody is violent (if you always restrain your anger) then there would be no violence left in the world. If violence is an inbred part of humanity, then you could vent your anger not on other people but in sports or computer games or even a punchball. People who restrain their anger, become more mellow and less stressed, but the way the world is now, it is no surpise that there is anger, if everybody was polite and restrained (for example when driving), then there would be not many oubreaks of violence and anger.

9. Wake up out of your daze - Do you go to work, come home watch soaps, reality programs, and contrived news then go to bed, then do the same thing over and over every week. Does everybody in your street do the same thing. Do you feel there is something not quite right when no neighbours talk to each other. I do believe our communities have become detatched from each other, and we are yearning to belong to a fantasy community which is on TV. This is a detatchment from reality, We need to promote our real communities.
10. Family life, this seems to be being eroded by modern living. People (family members) dont make time for each other anymore, they dont talk, a lot have no father figure, this leaves some people vulnerable to lose principles which are often preached by parents, and even end up in gangs as they promote a sense of belonging and comradrayship. Families dont even sit together for evening meals anymore, which often in the past was a vessel for conversation and problem solving.
11. Infedelity - its is simply taken too lightly. A union between 2 people in marrage should be worked at, it is a divine promise, so effort on both parts should be maximum, otherwise what is the point in doing it. There seems to be a lot of sexual related media out there, who probably dont help the situation.
12. Empathy, never become allergic to this, Your empathy for others is your humanity. Without empathy you are getting close to being what is called in modern life a "thug", and there is too many of these people about who need to look at themselves, and fix their empathy.
