I know some or many many not a gree but I really love Greenday's music.

This song makes me wanna jump and be a guitarist, ;D.
      Green day Holiday live

And my, is Billie Joe Armstrong cool or what?!

I'm able to play some of their songs but I've recently learnt a few more with an imaginary guitar. Hoping to get me recorded covering some of their songs.

      Brain Stew. Love that intro.

Longview my fav though, along with most early stuff. Still putting out decent music these days though.

They were at Singapore a couple of days ago and I was pretty gutted I couldn't be there.

Mate of mine went and even managed to get Green Day's guitar picks!

      Good to watch on YouTube.

However, if I went to watch Green Day, I would be going to watch Green Day - not some kid playing the guitar.

Call me whatever but that's how it is!

I miss the old Green Day to be honest.

I know what you mean. Apart from the person doing it and his/her mates, kinda just nothing for everyone else. Unless they absolutely shred the sh*t out of it spectacularly!

Didn't do anything of the sort when i saw them live, but that was on the 'American Idiot' tour in '05 so maybe they weren't doing it then. F***ing fantastic show though! I do love their old stuff infinitely more though.

Man, that show i saw them was even before Istanbul.. and that seems a while ago now. Im only 22, but already things that seemed like yesterday i am actually realizing was years ago now! :D

Was talking about that to a friend on facebook, crazy how it flies. I went on a date with this girl i was talking to's sister back in June '08, and now shes getting married in a few days. And it doesn't seem that long ago i took her out! Crazy stuff.

I was singing along to Green Day 10 years ago though i think :D

Feels like 10 years since we won in Istanbul too :P

I pretty much like Green Day's performances on stage. The fact that Billie Joe is hyper when he's singing Holiday, American Idiot or Jesus of Suburbia. He then stands only while singing Wake Me Up When September Ends, Boulevard of Broken Dreams or 21 Guns.

Yeah, and when i saw them when he did 'Good Riddence (Time of your Life)' he did it just him, out on the end of the cat walk thing with just his acoustic guitar. Was a real good moment, everyone of the few thousand in there singing along with just Billie Joe and his acoustic.

Amazing eh? A lot of bands do it on stage, though. Led Zeppelin sometimes would extend a song out for 20 minutes or more on stage! Epic stuff.

I used to have a bird that was into Greenday. Well, I say that, but it was more I went round hers and gave her several a few times a week. But she liked Greenday. I don't though. Didn't mind giving her several though.

IMO, they're kind different to bands like Simple Plan, All American Rejects and the Click Five as Green Day don't really sing about love and girls.

Might consider going for their concert in London in June.
