Surprise, surprise, it always someone else's fault!

      Fergie fumes at timekeeping

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson was unhappy with the timekeeping of referee Martin Atkinson following the defeat to Aston Villa.

Ferguson's troops fell to their first home defeat of the season as Gabriel Agbonlahor's first-half header gave Villa a famous victory.

United chief Ferguson was irritated at the amount of time added on by Atkinson, who decided three minutes was enough for six substitutions and two lengthy injury stoppages, and the Scot has called for a change in how added time is worked out.

"The timing should be taken out of the referee's hands," bemoaned Ferguson. "Those two stoppages took two minutes and 20 seconds, and then there were the substitutions on top of that. That is disappointing.

"It is silly really. We are nearly in 2010. A change should be made."

It's all Rafa's fault. You know that.

Good job we didn't have a game yesterday. Looking forward to the squirming on the back pages.

F***ing exactly niks! What a c**t, seriously just go jump off a F***ing cliff. I'm so sick of his sh*t whenever something goes wrong. It's so old now, and I wish some other managers would see through his guise and realize what a sour grumpy c**t he is.

Sounds like chelsea moaning over the 'phantom goal' (as they call it) - and neglecting the fact that they had the rest of the game to score. F**k off ferguson you f***in bellend.

Saw this on match of the day, when Villa went 1-0 up that was good enough then the whistle went  and you saw all the prawn sarnie crew coming to terms with their day out being fu**ed up it started to get funny.
Then whiskey face kicked off and the fun really started, the demented arl b***ard thinks the Fergie time wind up is a real goer and has reset all his time pieces accordingly - as is his way he refuses to contemplate that the universe operates in reality mode and is willing to confront anyone that says different - and what fun it is.
In the previous post he talks about it being 2010 and things should change what he means is they should do a Fergie calender and take out the years that he isn't happy with and he will start with 2005.......

      Typical.

It's all crap from this senile old b***ard by the way. No wonder all mancs fans are like that as well.

He's conjuring crap up, because it was only 5 subs that had to be counted. Owen was subbed on before they kick off the second half. And I don't remember 2 stoppages, what I remember was Martin Atkinson allowing the game to flow despite fouls after fouls from the United's players.

All bollocks by Alex Ferguscum. He just doesn't want to admit that his team deserved to lose, and I remember the commentator saying 'he can't complain about the time added on because it was fair enough!'

;D. Look at the bitterness oozing off you all.

You'd never hear someone here take off their red tinted glasses and objejctively say "Jeez, he just might be the greatest manager in the game today - by a stretch".

That's okay. The rest of the World can acknowledge that.

On football discussion, do you all actually believe Rafa is superior to him? Or any other manager in the game?

The fact that he always rants about timekeeping is pathetic. You can't deny that, even most United fans agree.

No-one can argue with what he has achieved, but he is always moaning about a referee not being good enough, not being fit enough, not adding enough time, not having his tongue far enough up his arse etc.

What you have just said, PrideofEngland (which I doubt it is), is completely irrelevant.

Funny how since Carlos whats his name has left he has sold his best player, not replaced him and is doing worse though.

Yet to see Fergie win every single trophy in a year like Guardiola so how you can say he is the greatest in the game by a stretch is beyond me and just shows us you are wearing tinted glasses.

He needs to take a leaf out of Bob Paisley's book, you NEVER heard or saw him ranting and raving, he let his players do the talking for him on the pitch, and he was the most successful Manager ever.

He was the one who should have been a SIR.

Look at the squad Guardiola inherited. Look at the squad Sir Alex Ferguson inherited. 'Nuff said.

Let's see in 20 years, in any case.

Don't hammer Paisley, he sh*t's all over Fergies record as manager.

In 9 years he won 6 League Titles and 3 European Cups (the only manager to do so), the UEFA Cup, League Cup 3 times, the Community Shield 5 times as well as the Super Cup.

Took Fergie 7 years to win the league let alone doing it 6 times in 9 years!

Guardiola was a total rookie given a team of stars who he had no idea how to manage, Fergie has also had an assistant making all the big calls on matchday.

Oh and they beat you with ease in a final

Wow, bragging about the least defeats of the season! Hey, get a trophy for that? No? Oh. How about a trophy for winning at Old Trafford? No? Oh. I rather win the league and have Liverpool do the double over us, than vica versa, as I am sure any sane fan of our two clubs would.

And lmao!!! "We didn't lose any finals, so it's okay even though we weren't any". Wow. I'd rather make a final and lose, than get knocked out in the earlier stages.

You probably have less a chance to win the Europa League, then we do of winning the UEFA Champions League. Your team is too inconsistent.

It's fascinating how you make out we are so obsessed with United when you are a Man Utd fan, who has registered on here, a Liverpool FC forum.

      Hmm.

I wouldn't call being in the final since 05 and being in the semi final not coming close. Although the Mancs term of close is the dictionary' term of inbred.

No, a Man United supporter's definition of 'close' is of the highest expectation, because we are challenging for every single trophy, every single top honor, EVERY single season, unlike other teams in the leauge (not naming any clubs) that can only cling onto past glories, with the best years of their club well and teruly behind them.

Living up to the term of mancs being illiterate retards then? Keith will be pleased I'm sure ;) And half a decade not being close? Well we we're in the final in '07, so it would also seem that you can't do maths either. You really must struggle for work...what having failed both English and Maths.

;D At least we are going to play the Europa League. If I remember clearly, some team from Manchester finished bottom of a UCL group not long ago. Challenging EVERY single season, oh yeah!

Its either too much time or not enough time. If its 4 minutes then it should of been 5 or if its 5 minutes it should of been 4.  You cant win with that guy.

Every loss or draw is someone else's fault. The Ref, the pitch was cut too short, the pitch was too long,  bad penalty call, no penalty call, the ball was wet, the ball was warped, the ball was too dry, the ball was blue, the ball was green, the net had rain on it, the fans were loud, the locker room was cold, the locker room was hot, the stadium was too small, the stadium was too big, should of been a red card, shouldn't of been a red card, should of been offsides, wasn't offsides, it was a handball, it wasn't a handball and on and on and on and on....

Well we knew it wouldn't take long for him. As usual Fergie said the added time was an "Insult".  Just cant admit defeat. This guy is F***ing, physically and mentally unable to admit his team lost because they were outplayed.

The level of arrogance and disrespect for the game that comes from this f***in' jerk-off is beyond measure. The days of having the best players in the world at every position are LONG GONE.  Now, the curtain has been revealed and as expected, he's a normal, semi talented coach, who road the talent of his players to a spot of Legend.

Fergie is not that good of a head coach.  When you have years of a non stop revolving door of super talent being signed every season, of course your going to succeed. I could of coached that team to the Treble. Now, that door has closed part way, and the talent is not as it was, his status is being questioned and its great.

F**k You, Ferguson. Its about time you got your comeuppance. Years and years of thinking you owned the FA and that you automatically deserved respect, without returning any, is catching up to you. All those bridges burned, people fu**ed over, your vanity and elitism is now gone. Enjoy drinking yourself too death while watching old 90's DVD's of the good years. I hope you choke on your own vomit you f***in' pr**k.

Yes, Fergie has a cabinet full of trophies and has won championships. But, what amount of championships and "Status" has he actually earned.

If your given everything needed to succeed, tons of money, all of the best position players in the world, year in and year out for 15 years, then succeed, does that make you a "Great Coach" ?  His success makes him comment on everything and everyone in Football and makes it seem like his word is law. Can he build a team from scratch w/ youth and minimal transfer money?

I'll believe it if Fegie leaves Man. U goes to MK Dons and in 10 years wins the EPL.  If he does that, then I am wrong and I'll admit he is one of the greatest coaches ever. But, just getting the keys to the castle doesn't make you king.

Calm down lad remember where you are - you'll get no accolades here for any defend F**k Nose posts.
While we're talking about legendary managers let's talk about a certain Mr Robert Paisley whose record speaks for itself without the sycophantic media attention that whitewashes and promotes Ferguson. His achievements blow Ferguson away yet he is only grudgingly acknowledged if at all outside Liverpool,Bill Shankly of course is god and even Ferguson himself would be unwilling to draw any comparison.
So I think you can appreciate why your sentiments are not too well received here because no one gives a F**k about Ferguson much less his "achievements."

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson let off the hook by the FA after referee 'insult' claim

Sir Alex Ferguson will escape any FA action over his post-match comments at Old
      Trafford on Sunday.

Although he was more annoyed with his own Manchester United side's performance in their FA Cup defeat to Leeds, he also criticised referee Chris Foy for the amount of injury time he added onto the second-half.

Foy added five minutes but it was not enough for United to find an equaliser as they lost 1-0.

Ferguson claimed it was an 'insult', leading to suggestions the FA might enforce the two-match touchline ban that was suspended until the end of next season following his verbal attack on Alan Wiley in October.

However, the FA do not believe Ferguson's comments have crossed the boundaries of acceptability, meaning the Scot will face no charge, one of the few pieces of good news to emerge from the first FA Cup third round defeat in his 23 years as United boss.

Sorry he's not even in the same class as Bill Shankly, Bob Paisley, Matt Busby or Jock Stein. The man's a classless, bullying tw*t. How many times did you see the four other legends I've mentioned prowling the touchline whining about every F***ing decision that goes against his team, whiniing about not getting enough added time, moaning about getting too much added time, moaning about refs in general, his supposed mind games which equates to him basically accusing other teams of cheating, remember the sh*te he came out with about Newcastle and Forest, that Keegan ended up blowing his top over.

As for this sh*te about kids, remind me again about how he lured Ryan Giggs away from Man City? Remind me of the various numbers of kids who came through called "new Georgie Best" starting way back with Russell Beardsmore and how he treated Keith Gillespie, basically using him as a lackie to go and put Alex's bets on.

As for him spending well, how much sh*te did he buy in his first seven years at the club, before he even won a league title, those buys have been conveniently forgotten, players like Danny Wallace, Ralph Milne and Jim Leighton.

The media had banged on and on about him being a legend, what they don't say is how he bullied them every press conference, swore and generally bitched until he got his own way and reporters asked him 'nice' questions.

      He's a petulant, arrogant c**t!

My point is, their are a dozen coaches in the EPL who would of done the exact same thing with the talent Ferguson had.  He is no football guru or god and his accomplishments certainly dont give him the right to criticize and blame everyone and everything except himself when he loses.  He takes all the awards, all the glory, accolades, knighthoods. But when it comes right down to the core. Ferguson is lucky.

Those Cups and Titles are not due to Fergusons unique gift of coaching.  They came on the backs of dozens of Footballs best players. an organization and ownership that signed all the best talent and spent whatever to get it.  Now, his club isnt spending tons of money and all of a sudden, the refs are bad, or theirs too much Injury time or not enough Injury time. If he did it all by his greatness at coaching, why isn't he top of the league by 20 points?  Certainly with the greatness of Rooney,Rio Ferdinand and Owen and Fergie being the GREATEST COACH OF ALL TIME, they should win the treble, right?

You seem to forget one massive thing.

      He's a c**t, not a legend.

That's just scouse talk. Fortunately i don't talk like a Manc and say the same thing about the great Bill shankley. In my opinion there both legends of our great sport.

I know no one gives a F**k  ;D. Its just my opinion, and i know one gives a F**k about that either  ;D

      Again.  >:(

Ive already said. ( in my opinion ). 3/4 minutes was more than enough injury time to add on. I to am surprised they didn't invoke the other 2 match ban on him

Bill Shankly is worthy of legendary status, not Ferguson.

He took a second division side, transformed it into European champions within a decade. And in the process turning the tide of success within the city.

A saying i have about Shanks is, 'built a club in a decade, toppled Everton in a day' and he did.

Not to mention the talent he spotted. Liverpool was a production line for legends of the game, whereas Ferguson has a handful of greats in almost double the time Shanks was here.

What did Fergie do? Spent a shitload, relied on a last minute FA Cup equaliser to keep his job and bullied his way to the top.

Sorry he's not even in the same class as Bill Shankly, Bob Paisley, Matt Busby or Jock Stein. The man's a classless, bullying tw*t. How many times did you see the four other legends I've mentioned prowling the touchline whining about every f**king decision that goes against his team, whiniing about not getting enough added time, moaning about getting too much added time, moaning about refs in general, his supposed mind games which equates to him basically accusing other teams of cheating, remember the sh*te he came out with about Newcastle and Forest, that Keegan ended up blowing his top over.

I can't argue with some of your points because i agree.

       Yes he's arrogant.
Yes he's bought some crap like ive already said.
Yes he's been a bully with players.

However, getting Ryan Giggs to come to Old trafford was great business sense. Any manager would be proud of seeing that talent come through. If Bill Shankly saw him play, he would of done the same. That's what scouts get paid for.

I do agree Bill Shankly, Bob Paisley, Matt Busby or Jock Stein wouldn't bully players like its done today. However, times have changed.

At the end of the day you have to look what he's done over the last 20 years, which is continued success, that can't be argued no matter what you think of whiskey nose  ;D

If thats the case you could argue dozens of coaches could of done the same when Shanks / Paisley  was there. However, i know differently, they were great managers. No matter what money you have doesn't mean you're going to be successful over the next 20 years. With wise spending, good scouting, being in the right place at the right time and above all to get the best out of the players.( which Shankly and Fergie did ). If you don't believe that then go and ask Mark Hughes because i don't think he would agree with you.

United will be lucky to win anything this year, there not good enough. The only saving grace is everybodies dropping points, so who knows??

I think to be considered a "great" of the game you must demonstrate not only success but class, honor and a code of conduct which he does not exhibit. I'm sorry if you disagree, but of you know his past indiscretions, you should know that it does disrespect not just Man United, but football itself and what it is supposed to represent.  One thing I noticed after 10 months of being on this forum is that Liverpool fans will give credit when credit is deserved. If a team comes to Anfield and gives it all, and plays with class and respect the KOP will cheer opposing players, Ive seen it.

I want to see a post game conference where he comes out and says " We played poor today, we couldn't score, the opposing team. battled and won because they played better than we did"  I dont want to hear "We should of won if the ref gave us that penanlty shot and we had 7 minutes of Injury time instead of 4, plus the ref missed too many penalties, and we should of benn given this and given that"  I dont want to hear that.  I want Ferguson to man-up and admit when his team plays poor.

Its supposed to represent, what can only be described as a "Gang Mentality".  Our neighborhood, our men who live and work in the neighborhoods, our triumphs away from sports, success as a city and town.  I know this is old fashioned but it holds credence. This is what gave birth to the firms and hooligans and its based on your town vs my town. Our workers vs your workers.

i think the actions of Fergie have turned people into Man U haters based on his superiority complex and his constant excuse making for poor Man U performances. I think football fans would of accepted his accomplishments if it wasn't something always, shoved down our throats. If his success was taken with humility, a sense of honor and respect fore those he has played against. He would universally be considerd and liked by Liverpool Fans and Chelsea fans.  Its the "F**k-You" I'm Alex Ferguson, that people dont want in the game. Its the "Kiss the Ring" mentality which drive us nuts. He is sneaky and coniving. He influences the FA to increase "His" standing, not the team.

I think the game in, game out criticisms of Refs, Injury time and opposing fans and managers, make people see him as an elitist in a game which, I dare say still belongs to the working man.

Not so much a rant as talking bullshit!

Glazer debt has not tied my hands, says Sir Alex Ferguson

Sir Alex Ferguson today launched a forthright defence of the policies of the Manchester United owners, the Glazer family, and insisted that the club's spiralling debt had no bearing on his refusal to enter the transfer market during the January window.

The United manager was adamant he had money to spend if he so wished and said the club's plans to raise £600m via a bond issue to help tackle their £699m debt were a positive development that would strengthen the financial position.

"The bond issue is a good thing for the club; I think anything that helps with repayment of debt is a good thing," he said. "There is debt there but it has never interrupted my plans for the team at any stage. I don't have any concerns about the financial situation. I have absolutely no issue at all with the club's finances and I am really confident about that."

He added that his day-to-day running of the club had not been impaired by Old Trafford's burden of debt, which has increased from £540m in 2005, the year the Glazer family took control from the old plc. In the year up to June 2008 United paid £69m in interest alone.

Despite widespread scepticism, Ferguson maintained that the first instalment of the £81m United will receive for the sale of Cristiano Ronaldo to Real Madrid last summer is still available to him.

"No, believe me, there is no impact," he said. "I have all the money I need; the money is available. If I wanted to buy someone, I could get the money. The concerns are down to the fact that I have not moved in the transfer market but that is nothing to do with the Glazers, it is simply because I am not going to pay £50m for a striker who is not worth it."

In the past, Ferguson has joked that he was unconcerned by the way the Glazers have loaded United with debt because he would not be around to deal with the consequences. He has always backed the family whom he has found easier to deal with than the plc board and who, unlike Roman Abramovich at Chelsea and the Abu Dhabi United Group who run Manchester City, have not interfered in the transfer market.

He added that he has long been suspicious of the January window. "I don't see any diamonds there," he said. "We struck lucky with Nemanja Vidic and Patrice Evra but it took them time to adjust. But you can't guarantee it and you are limited when you are looking for players to play in Europe [because they are cup-tied]. I don't see a player who could make a difference in terms of value and ability."

      http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/jan/08/sir-alex-ferguson-glazers-manchester-united

Could you ever imagine one of our great managers coming out with something like that bit in bold.

A Champagne socialist, basically saying I'm not bothered what happens to the club as the consequences will only be felt when I'm gone! I don't give a F**k about the club or its fans I'm here for me and no one else.

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson criticised the decision to send off Darren Fletcher in the 1-1 draw with Birmingham on Saturday.

Fletcher was booked in the first half for a rash tackle on Lee Bowyer but the foul on Cameron Jerome that earned him a second yellow looked less clear-cut.

"Darren's not that type of player. I thought it was a terribly soft sending-off, he's barely clipped him," he said.

"The boy was already falling. I don't think you'll see a softer sending off."

But although Ferguson was unhappy with referee Mark Clattenburg's handling of the Fletcher incident, the Scot insisted the official had been correct to award Scott Dann's own goal.
