      Best LFC pubs in Dublin?
      Dec 28, 2009 03:51:09 pm
Hi - I'm visiting Dublin for my 40th Birthday the same weekend we play Spurs at home (10th Jan 2010) - bad planning I know - so wanted to find a decent reds pub to watch the game on Sunday. Any reds in Dublin recommend anywhere decent to watch the game?

      Cheers

      Kev

When I've been there I've watched quite a few matches in 'Q Bar'
It's right in the city centre on the south side of O'Connell Bridge and has a couple of big screens for showing the football.
Good atmosphere, Carvary lunch, and also a stones throw away from Temple bar if you fancy going out after it.

Theres a great pub and chipper beside you. Not sure if the pub shows football but upstairs does some quality beers. Think its called the bull and castle. Leo Burdocks is worth a visit for fish and chips. Its round the corner from the number 1 shop

There's any amount of decent sports bars/pubs Kev - just bring plenty of beer tokens (cash) with you, Dublin is one, expensive hole place.  ;)

I don't know how they keep a straight face when they take the monies off you cos they're well taking the piss.
Don't rate Dublin anyway cos the majority of gaffs are just rip off territory there are some sound places but they are the exception to the rule, outside of Dublin is sound if you want to sample some good craic and spot on Guinness.

Been to Drogheda and County Longford as well as Dublin loads of times, I suppose the places you mention are pretty much like the first two.
