So what do you guys think about this whole scenario?
Burnley have come out and said Coyle wishes to leave for Bolton
Completely gone down in my opinion, dickish behaviour

Sort of know what you mean.

But he also has history at Bolton, having played for them in the early 90s.

What, has he been appointed manager?

I don't see why at all - why he's left Burnley behind that is.

Bolton are bigger than Burnley as a Football Club plus more stable in the PL if they have a right man in charge.

      I think he will go.

      Very good manager

Not yet fully, Bolton and Burnley in discussion over compensation, was an ex-hero of Bolton fans playing alongside John McGinley.

I wonder who Burnley will get in now to replace Coyle?

Mixed feelings on this. Everyone has the right to better themselves and to take bigger and better jobs as they can. On the other hand, it seems a bit of a kick in the balls to Burnley to ditch them mid-season. Also, if he really believes in himself then why not wait for a proper big club job? No matter how well he does Bolton will never be a top 4 club and if he doesn't get to grips with them straight away then he really could have egg on his face. His reputation would be well shot if he takes Bolton down AND Burnley go down too. He'd be regarded as a right Judas.

It's a similar scenario to Roberto Martinez ditching Swansea for Wigan because of past associations, albeit it was a step up of a division, but still to a pretty small club. My thoughts then were he should see it through at Swansea for a few years then look for a top club and I think much the same now with Coyle.

I dunno. I personally don't think he should leave mid-season like this, after all he has done for Burnley. But, he must have sentimental ties.

I guess ya gotta think, if you were a Liverpool player in the past, and then got offered the Liverpool job mid season, what would you do? As much as id feel bad for my current club, i think i wouldn't hesitate in saying yes.

Coyle only played 54 times for Bolton For F**k's Sake! He's been manager of Burnley for 110+ games.

If we're being honest here we can forget the sh*te about ties with Bolton - he's leaving Burnley for money and F**k all else. To my mind that leaves him being a Judas.

Totally agree with that bit. He was there from 93-95 wasnt he?

I suppose he could do like Grayson did with Leeds, leaving Blackpool who were doing pretty good and dropped a division.

I'd love it even more if they did that and it was Bolton's ex-manager (Megson?) who kept Burnley up.

A sideways step if ever there was one. Bolton is a horrible football club who will never go anywhere. Burnley at least have a better fan base.

Bolton fans on SSN calling Owen Coyle a 'legend'. Shithouses, he was only there for 2 years!

How can someone be a legend after just 2 years?!

Goon if he goes. Burnley are more likely to stay up than Bolton IMO. It's a pointless move for him, in terms of the size of the clubs. He seems to be a decent manager, should wait for a better offer than Bolton, there sh*te!

I don't consider Torres a legend. Yet. Also, Torres has been here longer than Coyle was at Bolton.

Let alone the fact that Fernando has broken all sorts of records. For instance the fastest player in LFC history to reach 50 league goals.

Be fair now, how many legends do Bolton fans have other than Nat Lofthouse!

No way Bolton are a bigger club and while i feel sorry for Burnley it is a step up for Coyle and in the cut throat bossiness that is football management you can not blame him
