Was going to watch it today in 3D but didn't due to the weather.

Heard it's really good although I'm not sure if I'm into the whole sci/fi computer generated scene.

Or is it not like that?

      3 years I believe.

Quite long, just under 3 hours but I found no dull moments at all. Went to see the 3D film today. Very different special effects. Glad I saw it.

Ross, it's really is good. I went with a closed mind but WOW.

Apparently this was written before Titanic, but Cameron waited until the technology was available to create it like he wanted.

      Amazing.

      Haven't seen it, probably should.

Going to watch it in the next few days. Most of my friends loved it, but I would say I'm a bit more exigent then them when it comes to movies ;D

I also heard the story line is far from being creative or inovative, but the visual effects are probably so good that most people forget about it, haha :P

The Story line is not new, but is OK, go to the 3D version and not the 2D. As I said, I did not find a dull moment in it at all, so it can not be too poor.

Many years ago when I had an Amiga 1200, there was a phrase that I have always rememberd. Good Graphics do not make a Good Game, you need a story line and this Film has one.

I saw this movie . I HATE Sci-Fi . Not the best movie for me to see , I saw it in 3d the graphics were really good and the special effects but after a while I got dizzy with the glasses on . I didn't really enjoy the story that much I guess the special effects made up for it .

      Braveheart? Nah, Dances with Wolves.

Graphically an amazing movie, storywise very cliché. Still, it's worth watching, even though it's not my kind of movie.

      Expensive cinema that mate.

I loved it. Brilliant story. Amazing CGI and class in 3D.

I bought a load of popcorn, drinks, etc. Didn't touch any of it. I was mesmerised by it.

Thought it took like 15 years to make?

Was going to go and see this, except can't get anywhere due to the amount of ice.

Nah, he's been wanting to do the movie for that long, but waited till the technology was capable enough for it. Though that's debatable isn't it? I mean, with Jurassic Park and all, that looked good back then. But they didn't start till 2006.

Jurassic Park was not anywhere near the level of Avatar i'd say. That was animatronics and a bit of special effects in real life scenery. This was a whole new world they created. I saw a behind the scenes about this, and just one of the cameras they used was worth 200 grand. That's how state of the art this production was.

What I think though, is they can make a movie with 300m and we can't pay 10m for a decent defender in the summer? Daym.

You could say that about most SiFi films, and most films in gereral. Just enjoy the visual experience, and go with the flow.

I didn't bother watching it in 3-D. Can't be arsed having to wear glasses for 3 hours?

It wasn't bad a movie but it was pretty predictable.

And how many films that are big wiz bang visual experiences also have complex story lines? Not many, it doesn't matter that its a little predictable. Still was a brilliantly made film and one that held my attention the whole time.
