If you think about it (not being fully serious you'll understand) we were doomed from the beginning seen as the state of Dubai is currently bankrupt.
Interesting concept you raise however - you think if we had someone oldschool at the helm with presumably thin resources (dont think there are many Liverpublican billionaires mooring their yaughts on the Mersey) you and everyone alike wouldn't be screaming for them to sell to some wonderous American consortium? (ala Everton and Kenwright)
You miss the point of what I am saying, the old school as you call them would not have allowed the club to be in the predicament we are in today. Also those same old school often broke British transfer records to bring the best talent available to this club, that is why we were the most successful club ever in the 1960s/70s and 80s.However seeing as  Hicks Junior has run with his tail between his legs you will not have to defend him any more.I suggest you peruse every post in this thread and gauge the opposition to the Hicks and Gillette families and then maybe you will realise you are in the wrong to champion their cause. You are entitled to your opinion but wrong to ram it down our throats that they are good guys when most of us on this forum know exactly who and what they are.

This resignation really goes to the heart of the matter about our club, when a supporter asks a question about finances, and his greeted by a slap down, shows he must have hit a nerve with some truth. What this shows is these people are stuck with us, they must have thought if they ever get to a point such as they have reached with us, they could sell us off and take a long holiday, with the profits, it obviously hasn't worked that way, no-one wants in,(because of the debt) and we can't get them out, and as they wait for their monster profits, that will never come, why don't you leave us, get what you can G & H and leave us alone, or we will end up stuck with you, no-one wants that not even yourselves.

I think Hicks Jnr has done more to help bolster the campaign against the owners.

This, the struggling attempts to try and sign a player for £1.5M, the question marks Rafa put over Torres future - I think the penny is slowly starting to drop amongst those Liverpool fans who didn't believe the owners were a major problem.

Our club, regrettably, will never rise from the ashes - we will never be a collective group of fans like we used to be, until these two leeches are removed from the club.  They need to go before the damage they have created is so great that it cannot be rectified.

We need to strike while the iron is hot.

      I wholeheartedly agree.

We need to hammer these c*nts now until they have no option other than to leave.

What do we want? YANKS OUT!!!

And also that they are F***ing smug and don't give a damn. If we needed anymore proof (of which we have enough already) this was just the icing on top of a very fu**ed up cake. They do not care about us, i don't care what excuse they come up with to cover that up. Often the first reaction when no thought has been put in is the one that really shows what someone thinks, and thats what Jnr must have thought of us supporters. Just a bunch of know-nothing fools. Well F**k him, hes out of a job now!

Need to push the effort more than ever now, the pressure is well and truly starting to tell now i think.

My blood is boiling. Literally. What's more important now is that we do not stoop to his level and flood his inbox with abusive e-mails. Even though these e-mails could be perceived as retaliatory, they would only be used as leverage in any response made by Hicks Jnr. We are bigger than that, their time will come, be patient.

Forget what i said above, the c**t has now resigned. Let the abuse commence!

At least he knows he has done wrong and walked, he could have easily just stayed at the club and caused more problems, maybe now his c**t of a father will follow.
