c**t. The whole family seems to be idiots.

I have no problem with them being American, I have no problem with them wanting to make a profit from what, for the, is a business investment.  I have a problem with them because they have lied to us on a consistent basis.  Time to get out Mr Hicks & Gillette.

I would like to see the e-mail conversations to be honest. Calling someone an idiot is not really "abuse".

If it was a load of rubbish, then they'd be making a statement on the website in a flash wouldn't they. They should be doing so anyway with the words that Hicks jnr is resigning. That's what the union will be calling for now.

Read somewhere that club is refusing to comment but they are looking into it.

The son of Liverpool FC owner Tom Hicks is under fire after being accused of sending an abusive e-mail to a supporter.

Tom Hicks Jr was contacted yesterday morning by a concerned Reds fan who asked him to respond to a piece in a local newspaper which highlighted claims in the media earlier this week that manager Rafael Benitez had been told to raise £16 million from player sales in order to help reduce the club's debts.

It is claimed that the American, who is vice president of Hicks Holdings, responded by branding Steve Horner, 29, an “idiot” and allegedly followed up his reply nine minutes later with an obscene tirade, fuming: "Blow me f*** face. Go to hell. I'm sick of you." Hicks Jr copied the club's commercial director Ian Ayre and chief financial officer Philip Nash into his second response.

Liverpool officials insist that neither received the email but it is believed that they are investigating the claim about e-mails sent from the web servers of Hicks Holdings.

Hicks Jr sent an apology to Mr Horner late last night in which he said: "I apologize for losing my temper and using bad language with you. It was a kneejerk reaction."

I've already emailed my thoughts to them and so far not had a "mail delivery has failed" email so the addresses must be valid.

His response is disgraceful, and shows that tensions are running high between the directors and owners of the club.

Hopefully the unrelenting protests are getting to them, so in a way, disgusting as what he said was, it could be seen in a positive light. We should be encouraged, and need to keep up the pressure on these parasites.

Looking that Hicks Jr responded to an email, I might send one in as it would have a good chance of getting a response as well.

I'm going to demand answers from him. I'm going to shove those words he said to that fan back into him.
