I'm stunned that Aquilani was dropped. Good to see Pacheco on the bench.

Aquilani not being in the starting side is bullshit. I don't think we need Lucas today.

Disappointed to see two defensive midfielders playing against a side like Wolves it didn't work against Portsmouth, Rafa should have started Masch and Aquilani.

He was as well. He had a face like thunder when he came off the coach.

Totally unfair in my view.  I thought he has done well for us.  Gerrard should be on the right.

If we don't win tonight I am going to hold Gerrard personally responsible.

As much as I agree that Aquilani playing, I don't agree that Aquilani is at all useful replacing Lucas position.  If you want to put anyone there put Gerrard.

Hopefully he'll feature at some stage. Maxi's first start  

i think gerrard will be off after the first half is we are leading and aquilani will come on.
honestly speaking i wud have preferred the other way round wid gerrard starting on the bench and coming on for lucas/masch if the we needed.

By the way, the side looks boss tonight. Even with 2 defensive middys.

Dropping Aquilani is insane.

Aquilani should be starting tonight he was great against spurs, not too good for his confidence thought tonight could have been a great game for him. Nice to see maxi starts though hope he does well.

Why is Aquilani not there is all I want to know.Gerrard could have played on the right as Lucas too doesn't deserve to be dropped.

I think Aquilani is a centre midfielder JD that is where he played in a large part for Roma, he was bought to replace Alonso, doesn't have the pace to play in Stevies position.

Why do we need two defensive midfielders, no one else in the Premiership plays it, no successful team has ever played it and barring the Spurs and Utd match it hasn't worked for us this season.

It is to cautious and when teams like Wolves sit back and let you try and break them down we have F**k all creativity coming from midfield, Aquilani would have given us this if he was partnering Masch.

Dropping Aquilani - very stupid. Playing with 2 DM's against Wolves is just stupid. And is Aurelio injured or something? He's not even on the bench... Good to see Maxi starting and Pacheco on the bench, but knowing Rafa he will only get about 10 minutes or so.

the last tym i was surprised to find gerrard in the team was against lyon in the CL. he was off after 20 odd mins not to be seen for a couple of weeks.

HOPING that doesnt happen again. we didnt need him this badly this time. if we cannot even beat wolves without him its crazy.
thought we had enough quiality in aquilani maxi and riera to create a few goals.

needless to say rafa has put a strong side and an attacking one for the first time in weeks.

Why why why is Aquilani not starting.... We need him constantly in the team the way we did with Alonso. He should not miss in the starting lineup unless on a bed hospital...

One striker playing away to Wolves is strange. This game is crying out for N'gog and his pace to take advantage.

Aquilani should be there aswell but as someone has said, who does he replace?

Gerrard behind Kuyt makes sense so..... Lucas or Masch? On form its a no for me. He could make an impact if needed to come off the bench, but i don't think that will be necessary as we should win this quite comfortable.

Why has Aquilani been dropped? It's Wolves ffs, don't exactly need 2 defensive players there. And after his performance against Spurs, surely he showed what he can do behind the striker? Move Gerrard to Lucas position and Stick Aquilani in where Gerrard is going to be playing.

F***ing joke, decisions like that don't do Rafa any favours.....however, if Lucas get's the winner I'll take it all back
