      Selling home shirts
      Jan 30, 2010 12:38:38 pm
Is it okay to post this in here?
Please feel free to move it etc mods.

I'm having a crack at starting my own business on ebay, buying and selling stuff (obviously).

Thought i'd start off with some Home liverpool shirts  :)

They're brand new still in packaging, size M short sleeve.

      http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170438166288&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ht_483wt_1378

      Cheapest on ebay too :D
Anyone who hasn't got the home shirt yet fancy one at a great price. Feel free to buy! Just check out the link for all the info.

And by the way, i would never ever sell counterfeit goods, i hate anyone who does that. It's all quality genuine stuff.
      Thanks.

Sorry, just noticed i should've put this in the "classifieds" sub-board in the albert.
Could a mod move it for me pretty please. :)

      Yeah i've only got Mediums
But if you check ebay i'm sure you'd find an XL for a reasonable price, just make sure everything about the shirt and the seller looks legitimate.

For the new shirt yes, but the current home shirt isn't really being restocked alot by major shops now so ebay is your best bet. Will be fair priced on ebay too, not still like £40, more likely between £15 and £25.

Whatever size you're looking for you'll get ion ebay but as i said, just make sure everything is legitimate about the shirt and the seller before buying.

Yeah i'll be looking around for them. Really nice shirts.
The only problem i have at the moment is i'll have to wait til i sell a few of my current home shirts before buying new stock in.
But having reduced the price i don't think that'll be too long now.
That crown paints original adidas one seems very popular so i'll have a look for some of those.
Any sizes you'd be after by the way folks?

I'll see if i can get hold of any and put up a estimated price.
Price of shirt varies on how popular the shirt is.
For example you can get a home shirt for cheaper than you can get an away shirt. It's all down to demand :)

I'll keep looking for more stock. The only problem is that it's not a steady flow of stock. E.g. i can't always get hold of whats in demand. I'll try my best and atleast now i've had some requests for different shirts so the next batch of shirts should be easier to sell.

What are the measurements, Ally? Length from top to bottom and width? And also postage to Aus.

      I'd have to use Airmail.
      Quote from: Royal Mail
We aim to deliver to European destinations within three working days and worldwide within five.
So that's be 5-7 days to AUS. (even though it says "within" that always means "at the earliest" in the Royal Mails dictionary)

UK delivery is £3.99, I'd do delivery to Australia for an extra £2 so it would be £5.99

      As for measurements:

Very top of shirt to very bottom = 30.5 inches (77.5cm)
      Chest (under arms) = 21 inches (53.5cm)

Just added European and Worldwide postage fees to the listing:

European: £4.99 (+£2.99 for each additional item)
Worldwide: £5.99 (+£3.99 for each additional item)

Hm, i'll definitely think about it. It's a big medium, which is probably a positive as i'm usually a large.
Just realised, only $33 for a new kit inc. delivery. Boss deal, that one. Definitely look to get my hand on some cash.

      Best deal on ebay :)
If you end up buying one, make sure it will definitely fit. If you've got any other medium adidas tops that fit nicely, this will too.
Or have a look at a top that fits you really nicely and see if it measures similar.
Since you're a top red, i'd happilly give ye a full refund if it didn't fit :)

I'll have a little talk to persuade the plastic cards in the house to get it! ;)

I did what you said once you posted the measurement. It's much like a medium of the kit before that? Or abit bigger?

Sounds like too good of a deal to miss out on, Ally.

Not quite sure how it compares to the old kit in sizing terms cause i only had that in a small but i reckon the sizing is similar.
for example if you've got any liverpool adidas shirts in medium and they're the right size, it'll fit.

Hope you're able to buy one :)

One of the fellas who bought five of em took about 2 days to pay me but eventually he did. Had me sweating for a bit like :)
I'm having a look around for some new stuff to get in now. The old retro crown paints adidas shirts seem to be pretty popular, wouldn't mind one of them myself.

Or i might treat myself to something and get back to business in a week or so ;D

I'm having a look around for some new stuff to get in now. The old retro crown paints adidas shirts seem to be pretty popular, wouldn't mind one of them myself.

Lad I wudnt mind 1 of the Retro Shirts off ye, if u can get them in & also if ye can get next seasons in as well ;D

*Prefer the money to go straight to a fellow red & not some money grabbing yank c**t, or Dave Whelan (the guy that owns Wigan) for that matter ;D ;D

I use different offers that i get from my Very account (the very that used to be littlewoods direct). E.g. depending on when i get a new discount, that's when i'll buy new stock.

So sometimes I'll get them for less than half the price that they're on sale in the liverpool store. Therefore I only need to sell them for inbetween the price that i bought them and the price they are on sale from official stores to make it a business.

Hey Ally great stuff there. And that's the cheapest shipping rates I have ever seen. :D
Just had a doubt, when you ship something into a country, is any custom tax or anything levied? 'Cos that might have to be taken into consideration, too.

      I'm not sure about taxes.
I posted something to China the other week and the fella i was selling to mentioned something about paying taxes if the price of the package exceeded a certain ammount so i declared it as having a value of £20 or under so he avoided any taxes. I'm not sure if it's the same for different nations however. I'll have a look into it the next time i sell internationally.

      Thanks mate, I'd appriciate that.
Because what happened the last time around my mom had got something shipped in, the custom taxes were as much as the object's value, effectively costing her double the money. :o

No point the stuff at low rates if its gonna cost me double. Do you see my problem?

Anyone interested in buying all 3 medium ones and i'll give a discount?

Say instead of £21 i'd do the 3 for £17.99

I've got 2 Larges left and i'd work something out similar to that deal if anyone's interested.

      Just lemme know :)

Ally have you got any news on the new home shirts? Seeing as they're being unveiled soon I thought you might be getting them a little earlier or on the day of release to sell on from your 'contacts'. :D

:D I won't be able to get them on sale until they do so in the shops. There's always a risk of fakes going around before official release. I'd hopefully be able to sort out some pre-orders. I'll know closer to the time :)

Right. If anyone wants to buy a new home shirt from me here's a few details:

Price: Not 100% but I'm almost certain they'll be £34.99 (The cheapest online :) ) I say not 100% just incase anything changes at the last minute and i don't want to disappoint anyone.

Delivery: UK £3.99 (1st class) European £4.99 (Airmail) Worldwide £5.99 (Airmail). If you wanted more than 1 shirt, I'd sort out postage discounts (E.g. if you lived in the UK and wanted 2 shirts, it would be less than £3.99 X 2. (Probably £5.99))

Date: The shirt is released on 6th May and i can get it on 6th or 7th of may. So as soon i get it I could post it out via 1st class delivery (to the UK) or via airmail (EU or rest of world). If you want next day delivery instead of First class delivery, again, I'll be able to sort that out for a few extra quid. This might not be possible for delivery outside the UK as i think delivery quicker than Airmail would cost quite a lot more.

Where: It'll be on my ebay store, AKsportsdirect, so you'll need an ebay account to buy from me. I'll post the link on here at the time they go on sale.

Orders: If you decide you'll be buying from me, send me PM telling me:
                                                                                                        *What size
                                                                                                        *What country you're in

As it stands, this will just be for the short sleeved home shirt without a name or number on the back.
If you want to buy shorts and socks too, also let me know and I'll work out the price for them too.

So if you're interested, PM me and let me know what you're after :) Thanks
