      Coyle praises Kop
      Jan 29, 2010 01:17:59 pm
Bolton boss Owen Coyle has paid tribute to the 'unbelievable' Liverpool supporters for the way they have backed their team this season.

The Scot will bring his Trotters side to Anfield on Saturday, and acknowledges the roar of the Kop will make the afternoon even tougher for his charges.

"Going to Anfield is a tough proposition for anyone, and they've been boosted by their unbelievable set of supporters," said Coyle.

"The way they get behind the team through thick and thin is to be admired and applauded.

"We know we're in for a tough afternoon, but equally we have to try and stand up to that and implement ourselves on the game - and that's what we'll try and do."

Though Coyle accepts Liverpool have not reached their peak so far this season, the Bolton manager is well aware an in-form Reds are capable of beating anyone.

"There's no doubt that Anfield, with Liverpool at full throttle, can be a daunting arena," he said.

"For whatever reason, injuries or loss of form, Liverpool have been a bit stop-start.

"But we also have to be aware that they can win matches when they're on top of their game, as they showed against Tottenham Hotspur, who are flying at the top end of the league.

"They drew the other night (against Wolves), but there's no doubting the quality they have with the likes of Gerrard and Kuyt.

"They are top, top players and we'll have to be at our very best."

He added: "We'll go there and try to be positive.

"We'll be very respectful of Liverpool, but we'll have to try to be brave and take the game to them if and when we can."

Not bad for a manager who deserts his team  ;D

They tried to be positive against Arsenal and tried to play football, hopefully they will do the same and we can turn them over too :)

Saw this this morning when arriving at Uni.

Good to see. Wish more managers would say things like this. We deserve it.

I have a soft spot for Burnley, what with being related to their record goalscorer ;) and therefore was disappointed to hear Coyle had left them. However, his respectlevel has just gone up ;D

Coyle is a manager I admire, seems to be a very respectful, professional fella that likes his teams to play good football. Fair play to him for the comments.

Now here's to hoping his team get absolutely twatted on Saturday.

      Bolton Post Match?
      Guess Who?

"We were more in control in the second half, they were pushing (for a goal). It was a tough game for both (sides) and maybe the result is fair.
"I think it (the draw) is positive - we kept a clean sheet and you can see the team was working very hard and everybody is working for everyone."

      "Coyle praises Kop"

Hey what about the Directors box?

...to be fair if this season had happened to any other team, the manager would have been given the boot.
