Much much better performance this time. Very glad to see that Masch is moving forward more often. With his speed he can really harm teams. He must be encouraged to do that more often. Let's get him to be involved more often in counter-attacks. Sotiris had an almost perfect game, looks much more assured than the rest of the defenders and very competitive and the rest must emulate his work ethnics. Max is slowly getting his sharpness back and moved into the box very fast. Lots of positives can be taken from this game. I'm dissapointed that Pacheco did not play, Rafa should at least give him 15 minutes on the field.  Overall good performance.

Insua showed some real pace at last! Beat his man a few times, looked confident on the ball and put in some decent crosses.
Riera looked better but still needs time to get his speed back.
Gerrard had his best game in ages. Looked to be actually interested and enjoying himself.
Looking forward to johnson and torres returning.
Things are looking far more encouraging. Great stuff!

arsenal played spoilt spot last season, let's do one over them and make sure they drop points and not win the league. Man City is not unbeatable, if we can control Tevez they will struggle and their defence looks fragile at times. blueshit is very lucky today and make sure we man mark that sh*t cahill in the box.

true true, we can beat them all on our day. but we can also draw stoke, wolves and blackburn, and lose to portsmouth on our day. no wait, we did :D

Who actually voted for N'gog? :D

Would like to see Pacheco start ahead of him as I reckon he would take his chances slightly better and more often.

We had to win didn't we, couldn't ruin the record. And i would have posted this in the pre-match thread but i didn't want to jinx it. ;) :D

Very good win today, the sort of solid stuff that we need to be producing consistently. Definitely not into top gear yet but this is something to build on. Tottenham dropped points which helps but its up to the team now to put together a couple of wins and relieve the pressure from the likes of City and Villa.

Smiles all round though, well in lads.

Good stuff today, minus the crowd.

Only one moan (seeing as noone else is moaning, doesnt seem right without it) is Babel coming on instead of Pacheco. *sigh*

3 points was all that mattered. And with spurs losing points it was a good result.

Voted for the Greek Adonis as man of the match. Clearence of the line was boss but it was the effort to get on to the line that won it for me. I said weeks ago he'd be a cult hero. I might be right

Better performance today. 3 points was exactly what we needed.

Onward and upwards now. We have some potential banana skins coming up.
