Jamie carragher for me, MR reliable once again all year,  absolutly massive in all our big games and more. He is an example for any players coming in and a inspiration for any players already with us. Good old Jamie.

Carragher, Pennant and Reina for me. Gave Reina my vote.

Agger, come in and made that postion his own !

Gerrard had a bad season by his high standards
Gave my vote to Carragher as always consistent and fight in his play

Steve Finnan for me. Barely put a foot wrong all season in what was his most consistent campaign for us so far.

Has to be agger for me. Been class all season. Yes Jamie C and Stevie have been great but Daniel Agger has impressed  me more than anyone!!

I've gone for Pepe, been immense for us this season, kept us in so many games i.e chelsea semi, and IMO he has established himself as one the best keepers in the world if not the best!

it's got to be the dagger for me he seems so assured for someone so young I was worried about who hyypia's replacement would be I know there are a lot of talented defenders out there but I wondered if that person would click with carragher but agger's fitted along side him perfectly he can only get better the kind of signing I like low key big impact. also got a nice shot

for me it's JC, so cool and composed and I know D. Agger had a great season but it's JC who taught him about positional play, where to be, when to be there so not only has JC done his job fantastically but he's also nurtured Agger into the player we are seeing now and love so much....well done JC, you've done us proud again.

Cannot believe Gerrard got the fans player of the year.

It was never one of his best seasons for us, but I thought Carragher deserved it a lot more than Stevie did.

I don't think Gerrard had an immense season because no one did, especially with the start of the season and so forth.

I think Finnan should of gone higher than Gerrard also, purely and simply out of consistant performances.

Carragher was our player of the season, and that is all that matters!

hard one . 5/ 6 players id choose reina, kuyt, alonso, carragher ,agger,  gerrard. all had a good season.if just the one I`ll go for pepe reina, 20 + clean sheets. + saves that took us to C.L.
 FINAL.PS:-IF ROBBIE WOULD OF BEEN ALLOWED TO PLAY MORE GAMES I WOULD of votedfor him.,(nice send-off for him)
 

I've gone for Agger.
Looked a bit rocky last season, but this season superb.

If we'd got Mascherano a little earlier then I think he would of got my vote, the way he played against Chelsea in the Semi Final second leg was awesome - esp. that he was on a booking and would of missed the final if he'd booked. He is a team player that's for sure.

I'm with mrtommo on Mascherano. If he'd came here earlier and played they way he has been playing, I would have gone for him.

I've gone for Carragher. Been so reliable as always. Commanded the back like a captain and has adjusted really well with partnering Agger more than Hypia this season.

I'm laughing my plums off, Daniele Padelli has got a vote!!! Must of been that blind fella sitting by in at the Charlton game!! Carra gets my vote

For me it has to be D. Agger..
Not just because i'm from Denmark to., but he really showed us or me how great he is..
He actually moved from my favorit club in Denmark..,
But, i think agger deserve it..

I've gone for Carra, marginally ahead of Agger. JC has been my best player of the year, but Agger has been the highest over-achiever in my eyes, considering what I expected from him at the start of the season.

I'm with the majority here and voted Carra. He has been solid all season and gives 110% in every game!! Agger, Finnan and Reina have also had good seasons and a special mention for Jermaine Pennant who despite the doubters, has put in some superb performances in the second half of the season!!

For me, it has to be Mascherano. I know he hasn´t had a full season but for me he has been brilliant.

The results will be revealed in 10 days after we have posted an article on the site enabling non forum users to also take part.

Alot of players fall into this category, Gerrard, Carra, Mascherano to name a few but for me it has to be Daniel Agger. Why? cos anybody who can displace Big Sami and keep him out has got to be good!

Boring I know but its Carra for me as he has been consistently outstanding again this season, could I also give an honourable mention to Fabio Aurelio who for me was just starting to impress before his injury cut short his season.
By the way I love the way Harry "the red shadow" Kewell is in the voting,not having a go or anything but could you imagine being beaten to player of the season by a lad who's had about three games in total all season? oh alright maybe Zenden should be worried then.

Jamie Carragher for me...Mr. Liverpool. Always puts his body on the line for this club and jumper...performs consistently week-in, week-out!!! Never seen a player to play with so much heart for one club...

my second would be Xabi Alonso...started off slowly, but after round 8 or 9 dominated that defensive-holding role infront of the back four.

my third would be pepe reina....very strong in goals...best keeper in EPL!!!!!

Agger, JC, Pepe & Macha had good seasons, but had to go for Finnan, he's been superb, defense and attack, crosses better than Pennant

Dani Agger gets mine. Young player and had a great season. Fair play Dani.

I'm going for Jermaine Pennant. He has had a good first season despite his critics.

Kuyt defo has my vote, he aint scored much but as really worked hard for the team all season so I think it should go to the great dutchman. Finnan is my 2nd choice.

Its Agger for me, to come into the side and play along side Carragher and make that place his own, young man with a great football brain, next season i think he will rise to be the best in the prem.

How can you think Pennant was player of the season? I can only think of about five games were he had a really good game?

At some point, finnan was the best defender in the premiership, statisticly. I cant remember where I read this so no source

Number 23 Jamie Carragher, made 49 appearances last season, you could count one hand how many mistakes he's made during them games, and in every game he's probably made a last ditch saving tackle, made a vital interception, had the player he's marking in his back pocket or all three of these.  Runner-up, Stevie Finn, strong defensively and got a few assists with his excellent crosses.
