Totally agree....a car (or truck) is a loaded gun....f*cking dangerous as any of us who have friends or family who have died in crashes can testify....all for the government cracking down on phone usage, speeding, drink driving and littering....we all live here on this earth so lets for ONCE be considerate of others.

I hate lazy bas**rds that tip their sh*t out of their car windows, it's so inconsiderate and should warrant a hefty fine. 

I'm sure they give fines out now ? Although it must be hard for the police to spot someone doing it. If I could do it, I would've given out soo many already. This really really annoys me! Can't you keep it in the car then put it in a bin when you arrive?

Yes there are fines and yes the cops will try and get folks who break the law but the point is WHO are these idiots who think its ok and how can people raise children that are so inconsiderate? Drive me crazy how selfish people are......come to realies that on the whole the human race is a bunch of lazy, inconsiderate imbeciles....

My 3 and a bit year old car is currently stranded in my work car park - parked across two spaces - after the battery completely died.  At least I hope its just the battery.  No power at all - couldn't set the alarm/immobiliser and really struggled to get the 'electric' windows and the 'electric' parking brake to engage.

Very very pissed off.

I'm hopeless with cars too.  Anybody come round and change my battery for me?

I bought a spot on portable jump starter thing from Rapid the other day - my battery's goosed as well. Connect it to the battery, it charges it within minutes. Off you drive. I can pop round if you want in the morning and charge it up for you.

I joined about two hours ago.

I'll be ringing them tomorrow. 

I think the battery's completely gone.  I couldn't even jump start it so I doubt that gadget would work.  (I hadn't left anything on in the car).

I'll let you know how I get on bud.

If your battery was completely dead and you hadn't left anything on, then it's probably your alternator (the thing that charges your battery when you drive) that has gone - not your battery. You can get a reconditioned ones cheap as chips in a place called Charlie Macs at the top of County Rd mate. It happened to me with my last car. I was getting quotes for parts and labour for about £70 to fix it. But my uncle said for me to go to Charlie Macs and trade your knackered alternator in for a reconditioned one - £15. Easy to fit as well.

My alternator is fine. Just my battery that's goosed. The mobile jump start thing would start it either way.

Update on my car folks.

The AA bloke came out - charged it up fine but the battery was knackered.  £75 from Halfords, and a big thumbs-up to Malcolm in St Helens Halfords who fitted it for me - even though it was 'a bit dark'.
