First heard this on the commentary of the game before, best joke I've heard all day.

Simple answer is, tell the Man City owner to shut it or we'll send Yossi to his hotel room!

Ok lets be serious for a minute:

When Man-City got rich, their deluded owner had a wish-list of players, this included:

Torres, Gerrard, Mascherano, Terry, Kaka, Ronaldo

      Who they actually got:

Tevez, Barry, Lescott, Santa Cruz, Robinho

No world class player in their right mind would go to man city- I was surprised Tevez signed- Now being their main man!

Torres & Gerrard are not going anywhere,  Win or Lose, Champions league football or not!!

      Very good point.

And after Masch's recent statement, I'm sure Gerrard, Torres and the rest of the Prem's right minded players would agree entirely. City are building a team full of mercanaries. Which is why they're so inconsistent in my opinion.

If this even has an shread of truth, I dont think stevie will go, hes getting on to 29 now so realisticly hes only got another 2/3 seasons of top form in him now, and as for nando, obviously theres going to be less commitment because hes not been her as long and didnt grow up in liverpool, but as can be seen by his off and on the pitch attitude it will take a hell of a lot to prise him away.

The fans wont let them go, Rafa wont let them go, however the yanks... I dont even want to talk about it

I never believe anything reported in newspapers that concerns Liverpool Football club's manager or playing staff, as it's usually biased crap. However, the gobsh*te owners are currently under pressure to repay £100 M of the £237M debt before the refincing deadline in July.Despite numerous rumours, investors are not rushing to throw in the £100M for a minority stake in the club, and this is unlikely to change before that deadline.Royal Bank of Scotland are unlikely to totally refinance the whole £237M debt, this would mean H&G having to cough up £50m each in order to hold on to the club.On past performance that's not going to happen. The only other way to raise the money would be to sell off a couple of our biggest assets for enough money to reduce the debt by £100m and to have some money left over for rafa to buy "replacements".No coincidence then that the rumoured offer is £140M? Makes you wonder if discussions have already taken place at Boardroom level?Never trust a gobsh*te,especially when they're cornered with no other escape route.

To all fellow Liverpool supporters, dismiss this rumour at your peril. It's a well known fact that £100 million has to be paid by the end of March to RBS. The Yank cu*ts have no intention of dipping into their own pockets, they never have and never will. They are the owners and they have the final say on anything, this thought sends shivers down my spine. Anyone know any snipers?

The only problem with Villa is he is getting on abit now, i mean a 28 year old world class striker shouldnt be turned down, but not at the loss of Torres because theres at least 2/3 more years of play in him, even if he is really injury prone

An Torres is a proven EPL goalscorer, hes the fastest red to get to 50 goals, cant complain about that where as Villa, allbeit a world class goal scorer in a top league like spain but as we have all seen the premiership is a compeltly different ball game (excuse the pun ;)). Top players can flop (Robhino, Veron even Forlan) so i dont think the risk is worth taking... that in mind i doubt this has any truth behind it, but thats my two cents anyway  :f_tongueincheek:

Exactly, well said. This is a very real threat. Gerrard and Torres can say as many times as they want that they are committed to LFC but if the owners say they are to be sold, that's that.

Even though this isn't going to happen I believe, I think if it came down to choosing anyone or Villa, then I would certainly sign Aguero.
I think he's a gun and would love to see him partnering Nando!
But forget it, our 2 main weapons aren't going anywhere.
