John Bishop will be live at the Echo arena on the 6th May. tickets are £20 (plus booking fee).

IMO he is one of the best comedians on the circuit at the moment, apart from Frankie Boyle, Rhod Gilbert, Russell Howard & Dara O'Braian (basically half the cast of Mock The Week)

      Anyone agree??

Not too sure I would put Russell Howard above him.  Think he's a bit sh*t that lad.

Funny - I wasn't really into John Bishop on the radio but I do think his stand up is excellent.

I'm sure it will be a cracking show.

His stand-up bit at the Apollo was very funny and was also just as good on the Jonathon Ross show, some of the stuff about his family is very F***ing funny.

Was very good in that Istanbul show as well ;)

Yeah, I saw him on the Jonathon Ross show, he was boss on that. I agree about One Night in May, he made that for me.

No, I think he grew up there mate? I'm sure I remember him doing an interview where he mentioned he's only got that much of a strong accent, because when he was in school, him and his mates used to compete with each other to see who had the strongest scouse accent?

      Could be wrong like.

Would love to go see him. Brilliant stand ups. He didn't say much on 8 out of 10 Cats the other night but every time he did he had me in bits.

Doesn't half remind me of Carragher too.

John Bishop is really funny. Love to see more of him on Mock The Week instead of those sh*t young 'hip' comedians.

Russel Howard used to be funny and still is at times but he's just become annoying now.

Mum told me before her friend from work used to go to the same school as him in Winsford - which is about 10 mins away from where I live.

Played for Witton Albion too apparently which is the local club here, along with Northwich Victoria.
