A Good Red Stranded In Sardinia Being Seriously Ill

A good Red, many will know him as Mad Eric from Fazak, Eric Brown, some might know his lad Lee too who goes to all the aways and European aways too. Both are part of the Irregulars.

Eric had an heart attack on the flight over to Bucharest and the plane had to be re-directed to Sardinia, where he is in hospital, waiting to be operated on today. Although he had insurance, it is unclear still if they will pay out on this.

Anyway, yesterday's bucket in the HJC was dedicated to the Eric fund, to pay for him and especially to pay for his family flying over to Sardinia.

Anyone willing to give towards this can do so at the HJC when it is open during the day or you can slip an evelope through the letter box putting Eric on it.

Gerry won't be able to open the shop this week, he's unwell, but Kenny and Steve (K) will be there to ensure it's open, if anyone is planning to pop down and visit the shop, I'd suggest you ring 0151 260 5262 to clarify the hours which it will be open.

Just spoke to someone who said he might be home on Thursday I don't know the full extent of the operation sorry..


The bucket on Saturday was a grand total of £444.42 which considering the amount of time it was put out thats a great effort.

Erics home today and his family want to thank once again for all their help and support over the past week , nice one to all !

The op was an exploratory Endoscope, and if they found a straight-forward problem during that, they would have put it right there and then, but it looks like it was fatty tissue around the heart that caused a heart-attack on the plane. So they are compiling a report in English for them to bring back and pass over to doctors here.

Eric is up and about and is chomping at the bit to get home but I think Lee needs to reign him in a bit by the sounds of it as he was bollocked by a doctor who caught him wandering round outside to get some fresh air and to make some phone calls.

He needs to take it easy and get himself right...he's not 21 any more!
