we even won't make to the europa league. only way is to win it this year. but we are unable to score away and lille don't have anything to lose at anfield. depressing times.

I missed the game due to a birthday (which was nice thanks) so will have to watch it again later.

The comments on here don't sound good.  On the radio they said Aquilani looked good when he came on and that Torres clearly isn't fit and missed a couple of chances he would normally score.

Anyway, losing is a huge kick in the plums - whether it means our chances of 4th are over will depend on whether the other sides have got enough bottle to capitalise.

Wigan surely got their tactics right, many opposition team got their tactics right anyway against us, we're so predictable, ie close us down fast and we are not a creative team and move extremely slow while our players movement and positioning forward is hopeless. Not sure whether we have a game plan for attack.

We were set up to win, not to lose/draw. The spineless nature of the team and the lack of urgency and heart to play for the club was at fault today. Rafa was pissed off and tome that shows why he is our man.

Thing is despite playing so sh*t, a in-form fully fit Torres would have won us that game. Missed two or three chances he'd usually tuck away.

We are a total shambles and we absolutely do not deserve to be in the top 4. Lille will be rubbing their hands with glee waiting on us on Thursday.

We have the worst left back in the division, poor wide players, zero creativity, no width, negative tactics and a team that would rather hide than fight against a poor team like Wigan.

What have Portsmouth, Wolves, Stoke, Sunderland, Wigan all have in common? When they play us they look like world beaters. How come when every other team play them they are absolutely sh*te.

If we'd taken our chances, we'd have won 3-1.

We have good players but something is just missing. I mean, it just baffles me when players of that quality can't keep a ball or look for a red shirt or even muster a shot at goal all 90 minutes?
