Lille are being very much overlooked here by too many people. It won't be an easy game. We can't just have a host of attacking players forgetting the basics.

Stick Gerrard out on the right (tonight's his last chance for me before he should be dropped) play Masch and Lucas in the middle and Babel on the left. Ngog upfront with Torres. Johnson, Sotis, Agger and Insua to make up the back four and obviously Reina in goal.

Hopefully we can get the away goal tonight. Not at all confident I have to say but we might just nick a draw here.

if you don't see a problem with having Lucky Luke in the side you have not seen many matches this season. The guy is supposed to be an attacking midfielder and passing sideways does not count.

i really dont want to see lucas or insua play tonight. any formation that allows them to not be picked is preferrable.

insua gets skinned all the time and lucas has no ideas on the ball, when he doesnt have it he tackles wrecklessly and often very late breaking the flow of play and giving away set pieces in positions far too good for the opposition. due to our inability to overcome a problem with set pieces we cant afford to play lucas.

i would take that although i think if aquilani has the opportunities and the vision it would be better for gerrard to run onto balls from the right. it does need aurelio but there is no chance of that tonight im afraid
