That second goal, cutting in off the left onto his right and going past them like they weren't there was a repeat of John Barnes' goal against Brazil.

Haha who's comparing the two? I just think it's silly to use size as a reason to slag someone. Was just being playful.

And it was Gerrard who said Cole had ball skills like Messi. Have a go at him :)

;D didn't someone compare Joe Cole to Messi and we saw how well that worked out.

I like Raheem but he is really really small.

Being small is really nothing to knock at all. As a winger he wouldn't be asked to hold the line, and if you watch the video his size actually gives him an advantage because he stays on feet a lot easier when making tight controlled moves with the ball.

Everyone other than Barca missed out on Messi because he had a growth disorder and they thought he was too small. Look what he does now BECAUSE of his size, not in spite of it.

He's only jst turned 16 though so it's naturally he'll be small.

Commentators will be quick to roll out that nugget " He has a low centre of gravity " Anyone that makes Suso look ordinary, which is what the kid did yesterday, could be special if we nurture him. I've no doubt Rodolfo will do just that

As hes only 16 I take it hes not on a proper contract? So is there any danger of Arsenal or Chelsea coming to him and trying to get him back to London? We need to tie him down to a 15 year contract  :D

Outstanding performance, it wasn't just his pace that impressed me, it was the composure the touch and confidence for someone so young.

Think he still has a lot of work barring injuries and not letting it go to his head we should see him in the first team on a regular bases in the next 2 seasons.

I'm sure he can as he is registered with the club. Like not every team is professional, semi-pro players often play in Europe for smaller teams.

Could make his debut on Thursday apparently.

Saw a good song for him on Twitter the other day to the tune of Rock The Casbah by the Clash...

      Ra-heem can't half strike it,

Bloody brilliant news that he's in Thursday's squad. Hope he comes on with 25 left and terrorises their defence, which undoubtedly he has the ability to do.

Will break the record for our youngest player ever if he plays.

Fully deserves some game time either this leg or the one at Anfield.

      Good luck Raheem!

What are the odds on him to score tomorrow? Might be worth it to put a few quid on.
