I'm too skint to buy games for my 360 nowadays but a lad at work ended up with 2 copies of this and sold me one for a tenner. I played the campaign for an hour and a half this morning and it was great, probably as good as Modern Warfare with the bonus of walls and buildings that blow up around you (as I discovered when a tank blew the front off a house I was hiding in!)
With 20 minutes before I had to set off for work, I quickly jumped into a multiplayer game. I can't wait to get back on there again!! The detail level is stunning and there's just so much going on around you.
Early doors yet but I can see me REALLY enjoying this game :D

I've played a few hours of the on-line multiplayer game now, getting very addictive! I don't usually take to sniping much in FPS games because I never feel involved enough but on Bad Company 2, I really enjoy it. I think it's partly because there's just so much going on all of the time and partly because there is a system where if someone spots you, even if they're not equipped with a weapon to take you out, they can highlight your position to the rest of their team. You don't know that they've done it so you're constantly expecting a rain of fire or sniper shot to the noggin. It gets quite tense.
      Definitely recommend this game.

Bought this yesterday pre owned so i can get a feel of it before the new one comes out.

No VIP code because its been used, is it worth buying a new one and what map pack etc would anyone recommend.

Played it for a few hours and i have to say I'm really liking it so far.

Not ignoring you, Kenny. As I've mentioned before, I rather stupidly sold this game ages ago and haven't picked up another copy yet. I've been racking my brain but can't for the life of me remember what you get with the VIP code.
Surely a bit of Googling will get your answer though? Difficult for me to help you out from work because anything 'Game' related gets blocked by the internet filter.

I'm definitely going to re-buy this.

      I know Battlefield 2/3 and Battlefield:Bad Company 2 aren't a sequel but I got it just for fun ;D.

Yeah BC2 is quite different from BF2 (although it's been a long time since I played the latter so can't remember it that well). There were more vehicles on BF2, certainly more aircraft. On BC2, there are quite a few multiplayer maps with only 1 o 2 vehicles so they're more infantry-based. Still a few maps with shedloads of tanks and choppers though.

I have run out of good things to say about this game, it's the first game that has kept me playing for over a year. Spend too much time playing it and not enough time on coursework!!

Got some stuff on ebay and the money is to go to paying my car insurance deposit. Sure I can spare a few quid of it to re-buy a second hand copy. Need to warm up ready for BF3!

I have to say after playing this for over a week now this pisses all over MW2 and Black ops. Its so realistic its sick, you could be camping on top of a small building then all of a sudden someone fires an RPG, hits the bottom floor and before you know it your dead after the whole building collapses.

I bought the Vietnam add on and its unbelievable, you actually feel like your on the battlefield. With MW2 and BO you don't get that feeling. October 25, BF3, i cant F***ing wait.

Played the Vietnam expansion pack for the first time at a mates house the other evening, and it's worth getting. Maps are large, detailed and well designed (they have underground bunkers etc) Music is good and old school weapons are fun to use including the flame thrower and value for money (basically an entire new game) if your looking for a new twist on BC2 worth a purchase.

It's a great game, Arrie. Shame I couldn't have stayed on there longer with you yesterday but work beckoned, I'm sure we'll catch up.
I've only had my (2nd) copy of Bad Company 2 since last week so I'm still rusty but I've got to say, the Vietnam expansion pack is fantastic. The first map I played on it was Hill 137 (the same one you joined) and it had a strange red hue to it and I didn't know why. I climbed out of the trench and as I got to the top of the hill, I was stunned by the view on the other side of charred land, scattered with small fires and burning embers!
The only downside is that I'm pretty good at sniping on Bad Company 2 with my fancy gadgets but I'm sh*t on Vietnam, ;D.
Out of the house from 14:00 - 00:45 all this week and same shifts again next week so you'll only catch me either side of that.

Anyone else who plays this (BC2 or Vietnam) add me : zT Kiriyama

My mic is knackered at the minute but you don't need it so much on there anyway with the ability to 'tag' enemies.

Yeah Mate. Vietnam Expansion is Fantastic. Better than the Default Multiplayer Maps IMO. And About Sniping. its pretty Tough and i rarely use it. Bolt Action in Rifles makes even tougher But im getting used to it But the Downpoint i see is that its not much of a fun without a Friend Squad.

Yeah we'll have a punt at Vietnam Pretty Soon ;D

As a COD Fan. I'd say Cod and BF are Really different games. No Comparison At all From Me.

Well when sniping on BC2, I've become used to the degree of bullet drop so can aim just above someone's head and hit them with headshots, regardless of the distance. This means that I can choose a rifle such as the GOL which doesn't rate very highly for damage but it extremely accurate. A headshot kills regardless of the rifle or rounds used.
On Vietnam, I'm really struggling and I think there's a greater degree of bullet drop, perhaps due to the more dated weapons used. A shot to the body doesn't kill someone who's health is still full so they tend to start running! Maybe when I've earned better rifles it will become easier.

I don't snipe all the time by the way, it depends on the map and I will often change classes mid-map or even by stealing weapons from a dead body, ;D.

I was on BC2 today on the map Panama Canal which is one of the better ones, very detailed with loads of rubble and broken, multi-story buildings. I started as 'Assault' to claim a couple of bases then after getting blown to bits by a tank, switched to 'Recon' carrying my favourite GOL rifle. Most people fall for the temptation of standing on rooftops to snipe but you're easier to see there and people look out for you. I went up onto the tree-lined bank that runs along the side of the map and just scanned the area, tagging enemies for the rest of the squad, calling in mortar strikes on passing tanks and popping people's heads. Racked up loads of points   8)

Saw you come online again today but again, I had to log off to do stuff before work.

I am yet to understand the concept of Bullet Drop. Sometimes I miss Straight and Simple Targets due to this. How can we know that. How many meters are away a certain target is?  I use only my Wild Estimation on this concept .In Vietnam AK 47 doesn't Recoil one bit. So it is easy to use for long distance targets. So I can Safely say AK 47 is my sniper at Nam.Love To Bring Down Choppers with it.

I am Doing awright in Vietnam. About The Default Multiplayer Maps. I use my ever Reliable AUG. Ultimate Fire Rate. Good Damage. Perfect For Me.
      I Somehow like White pass.

BF is really awesome in many ways like You see a Couple of people Try to Crash land on our base from Chopper or you see a engineer right behind a tank Continously Repairing it? How they Count Skill level?

I Got My Copy of BF a week Ago. Here's my Stats So Far.

;D, yeah, I'd say you're doing good. I'm not exactly a hardcore gamer anyway but was a really slow starter on this. Think I'm only a Master Sergeant now. It doesn't help that I keep choosing Recon because I've already maxed that out so progress is slow. I haven't really used Medic or Engineer at all so I suppose I need to.
Had a blast in the early hours of the morning when I got home from work. I was on BC2 and playing as Assault. I usually pick a fairly accurate rifle but the rate of fire isn't great (AN-94?). I've got an upgrade that gives ou more powerful rounds so decided to use the F2000 which has a hig rate of fire. The 2 together work brilliantly, you can practically cut people in half, ;D. Not very accurate over distance though so it depends on the map. Also uses ammo vey quickly.
I hated White Pass at first for some reason but yeah, I tend to do pretty well on there now.
