*** Edit Geez only just worked out that half of the steel on the front is for the patio area, if that was in the UK you would of got 4 inches of stone with some slabs chucked on the top. proper job that.***

Yeah, the left half is the patio off the living room, the right hand side is the garage.

I'm excited and it isn't even my house!

The new build houses over here are a piss take. You can hear everything in the house, the walls are that thin. Typical stack-em high jobs. Looks like a proper job on yours mate.

Gone real quick that. Took over a year to get our house approved and still no shovel in the ground.

This is the current state of affairs, as of the middle of last week, but apparently they're going to push on a bit in the next few days, so hopefully I'll be able to post another update.

Also had the choice of tiles to make last night with the people involved in it.

In the end it was quite difficult, here are some photos of our definitive choices, unfortunately the cheeky snaps I took don't show up very well:

Ground floor (grey, to match the kitchen we hope to be able to afford :



Bathroom (the triangle in the corner will be the floor colour, with 10m2 of a mixture of cappucino, decrative tiles, and on the second photo, a kind of cream):

And - finally! - the first floor tiling, a slighty different grey with a slight texture:
