      Peterborough v Liverpool XI
      Saturday 21st July 2007 @ 3pm
      London Road,  Peterborough

Tickets are available through Ticketmaster http://www.ticketmaster.co.uk/event/12003EB2A1232F9E

Adult prices £15 and £20. Concessions are £10. (Limit on buying 6 tickets per transaction)

Correct me if I am wrong but I think only one side is seated. The rest is terracing.

I've never been to Peterborough's London Road stadium but I have heard it is a sh*t hole.

Any indication of what sort of team we'll send there?

If it's quite a strong one I wouldn't mind going.

Whenever they say a LFC XI it always gets me worried. We had an XI play Wrexham first pre-season friendly last year
      http://www.anfield-online.co.uk/fixtures/2007/friendlies/wrexhamaway.htm

TEAM: Dudek, Finnan, Paletta, Hobbs, Roque, Anderson, Zenden, Riise, Idrizaj, Guthrie, Bellamy

Subs - Martin, Smith, Antwi, Hyypia, Diao, Peltier, Hammill, Fowler, Pongolle, O'Donnell, Threlfall.

Out of interest, any forum regulars down Peterborough way and heading to this one?

Any recommendations for places to stay, friendly pubs etc?

      Hi there

Just joined the site and I was browsing when I came across your post.  Me and my girlfriend will be going to this game as we live nr Peterborough.  I would recommend a 5 min walk into town for a drink and something to eat, as most the pubs are inviting and football freindly.  Unsure about any decent hotels but worth a look i guess.

As a former Posh season ticket holder, i'll give you a little run down.

Terracing behind both goals, the two main stands are seated. The new stand is OK, the old mainstand is top half old wooden seats, most uncomfortable, and the lower section some seats we got on the cheap from Leciester when they left filbert street!

The food at the ground is a shocker, and the last time i went i dont think they served any alcohol except for the starlight suite on in the old mainstand.

A bit harsh calling it a sh*t hole, i have definatley been to worse!

If your going to eat / drink before the game then go into town centre where you can find the usual amount of pubs & restaurants offering bog standard beer and food.

Personally, if you are looking for a nice pint and some thai food, there is a boat restaurant and pub quite close to the ground called Charters, if its a nice day then it is really nice place to have a drink (And those into their real ale will love it). About a 5 min walk.
