England world cup squad outside bets

A topic for us to muse about players who with a late charge deserve on on chance to get into the England squad.

Personally I think Bentley has been terrific and would have him and Lennon take turns on the right in the team.

Would have Warnock in the squad and also Noble over Carrick.

Who are your outside bets?

When John Terry and Rio Ferdinand both get raided by the drugs squad - how about the odds on a return for Carra?

Eh, Idk if Carra would go. I think he was serious about his international retirement.

I think Michael Dawson may be in with a shout.

Michael Dawson yes, Warnock yes - Heskey NO so perhaps Darren Bent or Zamora.

I think Adam Johnson, Bobby Zamora, Darren Bent, Michael Dawson and Stephen Warnock are good enough for the England team.

As good a player as King is, there's really no point in taking him. Far too injury prone. Wouldn't be able to play consecutive games either.

True. I was shocked when I read once that he is so injury prone that he doesnt even train with the team most of the times. He only watches them! Or something like that, I cant recall it exactly.

yeah knee(s) are dodgy so he can't train much and will also struggle to play consecutive games
