People may slate me for this but...

The difference between last nights performance and any other weve seen of him in a red shirt indicates to me that he has been lazy and I dislike lazy players so he should still be shown the door

One performance is not enough to warrant his place in the team and any weak links should be removed.

Obviously I hope he turns it around and makes me eat my own words but in all honesty I will still think "f***" when I see his name on the teamsheet

Joe did well, but maybe not as well as some think IMO. Good assist and goal, but he had a few moments to put us in the lead or further that lead and he didn't take them. Still, was an improvement on some of his other outings for us. I think the thing with Joe is, he means well, but he just doesn't have it in him anymore you know?

Not going to slate you but I disagree.

I think the difference is he is now realising he is very close to the exit door and giving it one last shot and any previous poor perfromances have not been for a lack of effort, more a real lack of fitness which I don't think is ever going to improve much.

I've never had a problem with Cole's efort levels, attitude and desire whenever he has played. He still has the ability but it's his legs and fitness that are missing. He gave a little glimpse of the player he used to be the other night and it was great to see him grab a deserved goal. I just wish he could get himself fitter as it seems like every run he puts in has him bent over gasping with his hand son his hips. He needs to get in the gym and run, run and run some more by the looks of him.

CHEEKY HARRY REDKNAPP IN BID TO KOP JOE COLE

ABOVE: QPR boss Harry Redknapp is to try and sign Joe Cole He’s been a top player and I still think there’s a top player in him
      QPR boss Harry Redknapp

HARRY REDKNAPP wants Liverpool to stump up £5.5m to let Joe Cole join QPR next month.

Starsport can reveal that new Rangers boss Redknapp has registered his interest in signing Cole in January – and wants to land him on a free.

Liverpool would have to tear up Cole’s four-year contract, which still has 18 months left to run, for that to happen. And Redknapp wants the Reds to foot the bill for Cole’s pay-off so they can get the former England international’s wages off their books.

The final package would be just under £5.5m, which covers the remainder of Cole’s £70,000-a-week deal. Cole has endured a tough time at Anfield since his free transfer move to Merseyside in 2010.

He spent last season on loan at Lille and was a big hit in France. But he has found opportunities hard to come by since returning to Liverpool and also been troubled by a hamstring injury.

Redknapp handed Cole his debut at West Ham in 1998 and reckons a fresh start at Rangers will help him get back to his best at Loftus Road.

He said: “I signed Joe as an 11-year-old. I know him better than anyone.

“He’s been a top player and I still think there’s a top player in him.”

Harry Wet-knappies is having a laugh. 5.5m when his entire contract in wages won't be worth 7.5m.  I'd rather make him play in the reserves and let him rot there.

Now 2 goals and one assist on 3 games with only one start. Slowly getting back into form?
His off the ball movement is pretty good. A through ball specialist will work well with him i guess. Where is sahin? ;)

Well Joe was fairly anonymous when he came on, but he really really picked it up in the second half, especially in the last 20 minutes. Very nice finish. Well done Joe!

two goals in a week or so not bad.He seems to take a bit of time to get up to speed coming on but he does give it everything maybe he tries a bit too hard.Great goal today though.

Thought the change to bring him on had ruined our start, but thought Cole was excellent in the 2nd half.

It was a great run to make room for the shot and the finish was excellent too.

      Well done, Joe.

Took his goal well bu overall, IMO he again showed he isn't good enough, with 30 seconds of being on he tried 2 flicks and lost it both times! But still, he levelled things up so can't complain too much like!

Credit where it's due, well in Joe. Was disappointed in him when he first came on,but he came out in the second half and ran himself to the ground, sometimes naively, but the effort was there. Another well taken goal.

It will be interesting to see how he can build on this and if the extra confidence gives us more.
