If Villa is trying to unsettle Nando then let me send a message to Villa..."Go fist yourself!"

Good morning, Toronto, Canada time folks.
This is my first post on this site. I have been a Liverpool supporter since I was 5 years old. I mean a football/soccer team called Liverpool in Mombasa,Kenya. When I went to Enland, it was natural to support Liverpool ( not tough, HRH William Shankley was the Manager). I recall when Michael Owen was perinially injured, thinking sell the "God", use his transfer fee for lesser, but reliable striker. There would be very few "experts" in the world who would dispute, "when fit", Nando is the best of the best . Period/Fullstop. Use the alleged 50 or so million selling him would bring and buy  second tier( still great) striker like Forlan, or even someone in the "Bent" standard. ( N'zogbia  sp?). I'm petrified that Lucas claims he can fill Machs boots and also he has captained us this year. We need Masch replaced with a like player. Ngog (albeit he scored the other day) is not of the standard one expects from the MIGHTY LFC. He should be sold, not loaned out. I'd love to see the Spanish guy who left us a couple of seasons scored the controversial goal against
Chelski inChampions League semi final. Too bad Riera has been sold and if Bellamy is available ( Riise's gone) we sure could use his temperamental magic.

Eh Villa said he spoke with Torres and is now shocked that Torres might be staying adding that he believed he was gone. Same situation as Atletico his targets cannot be met by the club..

Fernando himself has said nothing on the situation.. Providing we do keep him i think another mediocre season even with Champs lge qualification will force him to leave.. he wants to challenge for trophys not help a club stay near the top for a few years.

not sure if we can take the villa interview with a pinch of salt but the fact chelsea and Torres have been quiet about the link still worries me a little. Benayoun has already left easy enough just as Cole switched to us. Its not about loyalty its about achieving ur own personal goals. Joe whas won just about everything and wants to play.. Yossi wants to win things. Fernandos goals are to do both and until a takeover we cant give him what he wants. Our best bet is to guilt him into staying methinks for another season and hope for a takeover.

Think he's due back this week, so although injured we should get something concrete either way  :-\

Thought he was due to report back to training today. I'm sure there will be a mass of reporters down at Melwood today. Anyone heard anything?

The Kenny Huang speculation is grabbing attention at the moment. Hopefully some Torres news will filter through. :)

The last official news, Roy said Torres told him he was looking forward to playing for Liverpool this season.

Until I hear something else official that goes against that, he's committed to Liverpool for the coming season.

These photo's just involved those who had played in the final - returning and getting medicals and such.
