Yeah. Especially since he played 120 minutes on Sunday. I'm surprised he wasn't chosen as captain if he was going to be started, as well.

sh*t first half. Neither team seems to care much, rightfully so. Sneijder and Robben still hopelessly out of form, but it's nice to see them all play again for the first time since the World Cup. Our right side doesn't look good with Kuyt and Boulahrouz. Hopefully 2nd half we'll see some fresh faces like Wijnaldum, Strootman and Ola John.

I reckon its part and parcel of feining a slight injury/ tiredness in order to avoid a pointless match. (Gerrard)

Good box to box midfielder, very talented. Unfortunately had a slight slump of form the past few games, otherwise he would've started today.
