You do know that we are in for Yossi Benayoun because we had a £9m bid reject for Renato Augusto. That's what happens, we have a bid rejected we don't come in with a new and improved bid, we look else where.. in other words we look for 2nd best.

The manager of Flamengo revealed that Liverpool made a £9m bid for Renato Augusto and they rejected it, some have heard it, some ain't. Problem?

I have no link that I can find, but I belive this is true, I've heard the source from a website 'Radio Globo' and it would sum up the reason for Rafa looking elsewhere after the £9m bid rejected, it could be bull, maybe it is but give it another week and we'll see if any news comes out from this.
