Johnson and Gerrard were Englands best players last night, Rooney and lampard didn't turn up.

Lampard was friggin lazy last night - walked round the pitch at times

I've always said, he's sound when you're 4-0 up against Burnley at Stamford Bridge, but he'll disappear in the big games.

They don't seem to have an understanding, they play like they're reading different scripts and on the day it looked like Stevie knew what his part was.

We missed Gerrards goal because we were watching it in HD. Apparently the F**k up didn't happen on non HD TV?

So very true I have been syaing this for years now.

But anyway I havent read all the pages just this one but heres my view.

Heskey - again a waste of space, I am fed up with the pundits saying he made a few good lay offs and won a few flicks ons.....so F***ing what that is least you expect of a forward playing for your country - the chance came and he blew it again.

Gerrard - to talk of him playing out wide is again an insult to the boy. Keep him in CM or behind Rooney so we gain more possession.

Another disjointed, long ball display from England.

Don't agree. All players, including USA's were using the same match ball. Would Green dare to blame the ball when Capello questioned him on what went wrong? Everyone on the pitch is on the same playing field when it comes to consistency, balls, turf surface, atmosphere etc. There is no way that you can blame the WC ball for a silly error by Green. There is no room for excuses at the highest level at the World Cup.

      And you said this...

      Quote
I have this ball, and I can assure you it is a fantastic little thing.

It's relatively light, so feels like you could kick it at 150mph. It's perfectly round. Won't split at the seams, because it has none - thermal bonding Wink

It's also extremely durable, easy to control, and flies true.

Well, I actually think Heskey did great against U.S.A. I don't think he's the best forward to have around but the Gerrard, Johnson, Carragher later on and Heskey played pretty well in my opinion. I don't rate him highly but he just happened to play well against U.S.A. and actually did more than the likes of Lampard and Rooney.

And about the ball. I know the flight can alter due to how it is made and at those altitude but everyone is in the same position. All the other 31 teams.

Sorry mate - I just dont agree.

Rooney didnt get into the game because we insisted on hoofing long balls up to Emile who flicked them on aimlessly.

Yes he held the ball up well when it was played into him but that is the minimum a national striker should be doing.

Aimless flick ons will not win you the WC.

If we get through we may only get 1 or 2 chances against the better teams.

I will not be confident if any of them fall to Emile.

Like I said, I don't rate Heskey highly but he just happened to play well in that game.

I actually would love to see more of Crouch or Defoe at least. And I also wanted Darren Bent to actually get in ahead of Heskey. Also agree with your long ball, and flick ons bit.

I have always thought the best way to score goals is by bringing the ball to the by line and squaring it to the centre, as we saw with Podolski and Cacau yesterday.

      EDIT.

I actually wanted England to play Rooney up front with Gerrard in the hole and Carrick and Lampard behind them.

There is no difference between Cappello's England and either Sven's or Mclaren's

And WTF is Beckham doing on the bench.
It's the same old story with the arl arses of the FA calling the shots and it shows with that n*b Beckham on the bench!!! What the F**k is that all about.

I agree with that formation above - I think if we are to have a chance in the knockout stages against the better teams then this formation is a must.

We will have to keep possession better than we did against the USA.
