They were mocking the headline on MOTD2 and I heard them talking about it on the radio as well.

Bigv's right. It's the typical "we're #1" bullisht. That paper is all about rallying around the flag, etc. Basically, everything the world hates about the US is embodied by the Post.

True what you say Eric but I don't think it's mindgames mate that does involve brain cells and they're obviously in short supply in this particular press office.This is why nobody takes the US seriously in the context of football because of nonesense like this.
Like to read it and get an understanding how they interpret a no win result to really mean a glorious victory??? They must be as thick as sh*t.

Well, holy f*ck! I went onto their website to find the article to read (and post, if it was worth it). I scrolled to the bottom of the homepage and there it was...a link to The S*n with their logo and all. Case closed.

Whoever  wrote that headline should be shot.  I read the Daily News and Newsday.

The NY Post is strictly Yankees,Rangers,Knicks and Giants. I stopped reading the Post when they slammed Mark Messier for leaving the Rangers. The greatest NY athlete since Babe Ruth.

Now all you Brit's see the pain and misery that the real football fans here in the US have to deal with. Ugghh!!!!
