World Cup 2010 Survey

Hello all! Just asking for a little help for my journalism class - my last writing assignment involves us creating a survey on whatever we want, and then collating the results and writing up a story about them and what our findings were. I naturally immediately thought of something to do with football, and thought id create a quick little World Cup survey. It's just a simple click a button, couple minutes at the most thing, so hardly any time at all. Just click the link and it should take you straight to the survey.

Every hit will be greatly appreciated, the more that do it the better my results will look and (hopefully) a better grade for the paper

Also, I realize the last question of 'What club football team do you follow?' will be greatly skewed as far as results from the forum go, but I'll take that into account when I do my results. Im gonna duplicate the survey and then post it out on facebook and compare the results, so yeah. Cheers!

EDIT: Also, I'll be posting a link to facebook for the same survey - but a separate results collector in my survey analysis. So if you are a friend on facebook, don't do it Part of my angle for the story will be comparing the results of dedicated football followers such as yourselves, and then just a general populace on facebook who will, generally, not have as much knowledge.

Dunno how that slipped through my check! Unfortunately since i already have responses i can't edit without wiping them, so i'll just go with it. He was meant to be in there though!

Like what? Country and age range? You'll find a lot of good surveys do ask that as to determine what demographics are answering it, there's nothing wrong with it. Journalism teacher said its perfectly fine

I thought that, but i just went with options from countries i thought have the greater chance of getting into the latter stages of the tournament. He will grab a couple for sure, but realistically i reckon he can't finish top as he doesn't have the team to help him get that.

But, thats why i have the 'Other' box so there is the option

Anyways, a few results to show you how its gone. If we take the survey as a representation of the forum, which being this particular one has only been done by those who have been in this thread, it kinda is - then these results are a representation of what the forum believes

So, for who people will think will win the World Cup - 64.7% of the forum has Spain down as their winner.

Top scorer - Torres is top with 39.2% of you, with the other major contenders being Villa with 25.5%, and Messi with 15.7%

And 64.7% of you apparently intend to try and see every game of the tournament
