I knew he was a wrong 'un the moment he appeared. Does anyone remember the ridiculous pr articles the Cancers paid to be written in the press about him? One of them was saying "this man is so suave.. like a hero" and "highly rated". Honestly, I was thinking "is this journalist his gay lover?".

Quite funny, that he started crying when his address started appearing online.Bearing in mind its public disclosure is actually a legal requirement of his directorships.

What really annoyed me was his bare faced lies last yr about "having spent more this summer than ever" or some similar garbage. People paid money because they believed that lie. In other businesses, the OFT would jump on someone for that. Butin football, cheats and even outright fruadsters  are rewarded.

And Broughton is exactly the same type. He's just looking at an asset strip too.

And Broughton has a vested intrest in Liverpool failing, with his Chelsea interest.

Well 1stly he just wants to suck up to Abramobich. And he's just thinking how he can get a nice cut of the pie from LFC's sell off in pieces.

The club sold 3yrs ago for 169m or so, debt paid off. We were as good as anyone in Europe
Now we have 340 to 440 m or so debt. And no Champs Lge squad. And we may struggle to finish 6th.

They havent just plundered current income, theyre drawn against future income. Sold players for cash and bought replacements for nothing or on long term credit.
From a commercial point of view, the "business" ( thats a sick word) cannot make money due to the debts. And its liabilities exceed its assets.

They had no interest in selling. Drawing out the equity was done by invoicing scams( bogus architects fees etc) and loading on fictional debt devices.
I know another big name chairman who did EXACTLY the same. Its the same plan for all of em.

Broughton is about keeping the Yanks and the banks happy, not a sale. Notice him wriggle in interviews. As it all stands, there is NO value in LFC.

But watch the lemmings , sorry fans, keep handing them money. Handing them money just puts more nails in the Liver Bird's coffin: (

Excellent post and as you point out the owners have got asset stripping down to an art form and ironically the people they are mercilesly screwing are funding their devious game plan.

Something that is severely pissing me off as well mate, as before I decided not to put a penny more near the debt repayments, I used to sing and shout my voice to smithereens at Anfield - yet only to be joined in doing the same thing from a small minority of the Anfield crowd. The team have been needing our support for a while now, but a large portion of Anfield is taken up by whoppers who only want to sit there and gaze at one or two players and at the same time, not give a F**k about lining the pockets of the owners or how much damage that is progressively been done to the club.

Purslow was found out a while back. Now that he won't talk with a union which is meant to represent the fans speaks volumes.

That is an horrific prospect Daz but highly probable when the only asset left to H&G is the crown jewels and make no mistake it is by no means untouchable.
If they do get refinanced there are no limits to their destruction to keep the wolves from the door, but they will still be creaming the gate receipts and anything else they can plunder, maybe then people will see the light.

Yes thats true. But atleast lemmings follow. We've just gotta show them another way.

We've already lost Rafa, Mascher and Xabi/ Aq. Replaced by a (possibly!) good player and 2 fairly shocking choices IMO. All dressed up in pr lies.
I don't think we can have any doubt that the sales of the 3 remaining stars, and the associated webs of pr lies, already sit in some "business plans" drafted by Cecil the Slimeball.
