Nice to see two teams that have also displayed the basics of defending.

It's nice that we're back in the European Cup tonight, preparing for a big game in Hoffenheim.

Those less fortunate than ourselves have to prepare for another big weekend in Huddersfield.

That would be the European Cup that we haven't competed in regularly since...oh yeah, Rafa left.

You mean like us in 5 of the last 7 years since Rafa left.
Although, if we hadn't of bottled it last season against all the lower teams we'd have been preparing for Palace and the Premier League just like the other teams, but instead we are having to do a qualifier to even get so far as the groups with the likes of the Mancs, who as it goes, finished below us!
Don't see you having a pop at City, Chelsea, Spurs for preparing for the Premier League rather than a game tonight. Maybe don't get so high and mighty about us having a European game tonight, maybe try thinking of the reason why we are even having to play that game tonight. So if it was down to me, I'd much rather be preparing for Huddersfield and having already qualified then having to have this game tonight which in all honesty, I would bet on us losing anyway if Watford was anything to go by.

We had plenty of European qualifiers when he was here. 3 of them alone in 2005 because we hadn't made the top 4.

We have to play tonight because we made the top 4 last season, which was our target. We've been without European football for long enough, and most football fans would take the glamour of the European Cup, over the prospect of a trip to Huddersfield. Win or lose, we'll still be in Europe by the time we do face them in October.

We were robbed by two blind linos at Watford. Even then, we came away from a venue where we usually find difficult, with a point that could be a vital one in the long run.

Which is still more than what Newcastle have.

      Not disturbed at all.

We went to Hoffenheim and are on our way to the group phase of the European Cup. He went to Huddersfield and is on the way to the relegation zone. So even with our defensive issues, heavy metal football is still better than controlling the game.

      Oddball you are.

He left nearly TEN YEARS AGO and you're still bitching.

Everyone on this forum gets it, you hate the man. Christ if you've ever had a girlfriend she must have been Mother Theresa to put up with your repetitive, boring, nonsense.
