Personally think Rafa will be gone by Xmas if not before.. Time he walked away from the Toon project..

Was thinking the same.  Or that idiot Ashley will fire him.

Ashley won't fire him, The Toon will be in uproar..Ashley will tighten the purse strings & hopes Rafa walks to absolve Ashley of any blame..

PL survival is all what Ashley cares of... & some say FSG are poor owners..

Yep, there's a club that should be competing for honours if run properly.

A crying shame for Rafa, and for the fans, but Ashley doesn't give a sh*t.

Does Ashley have enough money to cover Rafa's compo package?

I think it's because they've been so badly run, for so long.
Great stadium, over 50k capacity, well known name, well supported - to me they should be finishing top half of the league, and a decent cup run or 2 every season.
Instead, the continually flirt with relegation.

I'm not sure if it's because a few of our old players have gone there or worked there coaching, but I've got a bit of a soft spot for the barcodes.

Wasn't Ashley in the process of selling the club ?

Rafa should walk away from that mess. The c**t that is Ashley doesn't deserve him.

He signed 5 new players this summer, the same as we did.

Anyway, we're up there in our last away game. So it would be nice if they had nothing at stake, so we could go there and show him how this club can win the league after all.

Alright, back to reality. It's more likely to be facing the usual bus parking job, looking to finish in the top 4 instead.

Going to show Rafa how to win the league when we haven't won the league since the 90's...

It is really weird that no one buys them, huge local fan base and massive global potential if marketed correctly

Must have missed the headlines when he signed players that were the equal of Keita, Alisson, Shaqiri and Fabinho.

Wow, I’m amazed you managed 4 days between the topic being unlocked and posting your same old bullshit. I’m impressed.

It’s funny, you say about how long ago it is since he won a league title/trophy but you say we are going to show him how this club wins the league when it’s been the best part of 30 years without doing so. Your logic is well and truly fu**ed.

You must be Fat Sam in disguise, the only explanation for it.

Why lfcacrossthewater has had the opportunity to make a response for so long.  In football so many things are about opinions.  But here we are talking about 100% pure unadulterated BULL sh*t.  Ignore him. In his mind he thinks he is getting under our skins.   IRWT

He whines that he hasn't signed any players. Well the stats clearly state he has.

No matter how much he whines though, they are not first pick of many quality players looking for new clubs. Or second, or third. Ashley or no Ashley.

Once again he's forced to operate at a profit in the transfer market.
Going to be tough for Newcastle when all around them have invested heavily.

Rafa wanted more players and Mike Ashley bought House Of Fraser.

I suppose it's a bit different than the table and lamp scenario, but not by much.

Going to be Rafa’s last season up north..Ashley’s interest lay elsewhere..

In an ESPN article i read it says Ashley has a policy not to pay more than 9.5M for a player. Is that true? because it's insane if it is.
