Could of so easily mentioned the trouble in Nuremburg in 2006, the Rangers fans in Manchester in 2008, English fans in Belgium in 2000, the Lansdowne Road riot of 96. No the c**t had to go all the way back to the 80s and two tragedies that involved US.

The tories have a problem with Merseyside and that to me is quite evident now.

There's another beaut called Russell Hawker who has came out and said he was wrong to apologise as Hillsborough WAS caused by hooliganism.

These gobshites are so far detached from reality, it's unreal. They're running our country. 21 years and Kelvin's lies are still being peddled.

He's had his 15 minutes now. Fade back into mediocrity Russell you F***ing knobhead.

Yep a tory supporting pr**k who has deleted his comments but basically are:

"Culture Minister Hunt should not have apologised. Hillsborough disaster WAS caused by hooligans pushing and shoving!!!"

"I sympathise with the victims, but just being real about the culprits. Pushing hard in a crowd is unruly, aggressive and dangerous."

"I regard hooliganism as root cause of Hillsborough disaster, but other faults also occurred eg. crass Police incompetence"

And in case he tries to wriggle out from his comments, heres the evidence.

If you didn't believe it before, start believing it now, these lies are ingrained into the tories tw*ts minds.

Hope he he dies a slow death, the F***ing shitbag.

You couldn't make it up could you.

They're a F***ing disgrace. But what do you expect from right wing Tory tw*ts? Hate them with a passion.

How was Hillsborough caused by hooliganism? It was caused by the FA and the police on the day being inept. The authorities were wrong on the day and it caused 96 innocent people to lose their lives. And as per usual, the current authority want to pass blame.

Isn't there an old saying of how football and politics shouldn't mix? Maybe these cu*ts could do with honouring that saying.

As much as some of you want to slag off an MP, it's easy to forget that the education goes on.  How many supposed reds have you seen reading The S*n or the NOTW & you've not said anything.  I "accidently" set fire to an England flag emblazoned with The S*n brought into work by a younger Liverpool fan. It just goes to show how much this issue still needs to be pushed through & taught to newer reds & the general public alike.

Absolutely horrendous conduct from the South West Surrey MP who is apparently as detached as the rest of his party from the real world.
      The archetypal Tory.
Son of Admiral Sir Nicholas Hunt,he attended public school and Oxford university, he has considerable wealth after selling his educational publishing business.
The secretary of state for culture, sport and the media has shown that he is manifestly unsuitable to monitor any of the departments he is charged with so this begs the question why was the multi millionaire appointed in the first place? The same reason that the majority of Tory MP's are doing the job they have been gifted - to make even more personal wealth for themselves and ultimately the parasitic aristocracy.

He has been slagged a few times but a very good piece on the Mirror website by David Maddock regarding Jeremy Hunt and his tory pals.

Why Jeremy Hunt's ignorant comments about Hillsborough should send a cold shiver down the spine of every sports fan in Britain
      By David Maddock 29/06/10

Who'd have thought it eh, the Conservatives getting into power and then immediately displaying a crass contempt for the people they claim to represent?

Jeremy Hunt – and let’s face it, you should never trust a politician called Jeremy – showed not just ignorance, incompetence, disregard and disrespect in his comments about the Hillsborough tragedy this week.

He showed the real, sinister thinking that he and his cocktail party chums retain behind their slick, smug smiles and soundbites. And what he revealed should send a cold shiver down the spine of every sports fan in Britain.

Hunt is the Charterhouse public school educated Minister for Culture, Media and Sport, who outrageously claimed, in an interview ostensibly about England’s departure from the World Cup, that the 96 lives lost at Hillsborough were the result of ‘hooliganism’.

Those comments are not just wildly, ridiculously wrong, not just outrageously offensive and demeaning to the memory of the people who died. They are potentially deadly, because the thinking behind those comments places every single sports fan at risk.

What Hunt revealed with his comments is not just that he is unqualified to be the minister for sport – which his disgusting ignorance clearly illustrates - he also showed that he and his chums still see sports fans as violent, low-life hooligans who are solely to blame for their own problems.

It is the mentality of the Conservative Party under Thatcher, the mentality that condemns a huge section of our society to become an under-class, scorned and vilified by the ruling elite.

At Hillsborough, 96 people died because of the criminal actions of the police. That is not conjecture, it is fact. Yet no one has ever been brought to justice over the tragic loss of life.

Why? Because the Tory party believed at the time that the institutions couldn’t possibly be to blame. They believed it was caused by hooligans. By scum.

They tried to pin it on the fans. Thatcher’s press secretary Bernard Ingram tried to spin it as the work of a “tanked up mob” and tried to solicit the help of his tame media chums at The Sun.

The police tried to discredit supporters with made up stories and altered statements, falsified documents along with outrageous slurs. They tried to hide the truth. But it still came out.

Then they tried to cover it up in a morass of paperwork which was conveniently lost. They tried to drag it out so long that people forgot. They did everything to ensure that the truth wouldn’t be revealed and the real culprits wouldn’t be brought to justice.

And now, we find in the words of Hunt, that they still believe it. Deep down, they still see the innocent loss of life as the fault of the people who died. And they see all people who attend football matches as being hooligans who deserve what they get.

He tried to back-track of course, but it can’t hide his true feelings. The sinister belief that sports fans are yobs who don’t deserve justice. Who don’t deserve the protection of law and the rights of the individual.

It is as though Thatcher is still here and still showing contempt to every single one of us. And that is why every single football fan, every single sports fan, must fear the words of Hunt.

They suggest another tragedy at a sports stadium could happen again. All the time justice for the 96 is ignored, all the time the criminals who hide beneath police uniforms who cost all those lives are not brought to court, it could happen again.

All the time the people in power hide behind their obscene belief that sports fans are an underclass who don’t have any rights, there is a chance it could happen again. Hunt is a man with beliefs that could allow it to happen again.

He should resign. Right now. Instead, we are told he has the “full confidence” of David Cameron, the equally smug Tory leader. So this conspiracy still goes right to the top.

If Cameron has any empathy for the people – and remember, millions and millions of us attend sports events – then he should sack Hunt and immediately announce the start of proceedings to provide justice for the 96 people who died at Hillsborough. He won’t though, because the mentality of Thatcher still clearly lurks within the Tory party elite.

      Full agree with Maddock there.

I said when the Tories got in that the enquiry could be in danger. Hopefully this gobs***e's outburst has safeguarded it as they would be complete fools to pull it now after what he has come out with.

Merseyside MP's have formally requested a House Of Commons debate on the persistant public slurs relating to the Hillsborough tragedy.
A report in last nights Echo goes on to say politicians including Maria Eagle, Derek Twigg, Stephen Twigg and Steve Rotheram gave their support to a proposed point of order at Westminster.
The speaker selects an adjournment debate at random from a list of suggestions from MP's and with most Merseyside MP's lending their support, the chances of a public forum in Parliament are high.
On Tuesday Walton MP Mr Rotheram told parliament that Mr Hunts apologies for his outrageous comments were inadequate and he enquired of the speaker as to whether he or his office had been notified as to whether the secretary of state will be coming to the House to apologise for the distress caused to the families of the 96 who died and to people right across the political divide. The speaker replied saying that he had made a public apology and the matter of an apology in the House was a matter for him because the comments were made in another place.
Hunts' blunder was quickly followed the following day by a similar statement from independent Wiltshire councillor Russell Hawker and as we are all aware the Taylor report absolved LFC fans of all blame and pointed the finger squarely  at South Yorkshire Polices' catastrophic handling of the semi final.
Hunts remarks led to the Hillsborough Justice Campaign cancelling a meeting today when they were to be given access to previously hidden documents about the tragedy, spokesperson Sheila Coleman said " His apology does little to allay our fears and doubts about the truth being established. These documents relating to Hillsborough were compiled during a Tory government. What confidence can we have actually during a Tory government,a coalition in name only."

His position is untenable and in spite of him being manifestly unqualified to carry out his duties the Tory hierarchy will endeavour to keep him in a job.
The Tory hierarchy however after concealing evidence and lying since the disaster, indicating a set in stone Tory policy, will shoot themselves in the foot once again and continue to blame anyone but the establishment.

Jeremy Hunt sorry over Hillsborough crowd claims

Culture Secretary Jeremy Hunt has apologised to relatives of Hillsborough disaster victims over comments he made.

Mr Hunt angered campaigners when he suggested that crowd unrest may have been to blame for the crush that killed 96 supporters in April 1989.

Relatives said he apologised after admitting he had not read the full report into the tragedy.

The Department for Culture, Media and Sport confirmed that Mr Hunt made a face-to-face apology to relatives.

His comments came out in June while praising the behaviour of England World Cup fans.

Lord Justice Taylor's official inquiry into the disaster published a report in 1990 which criticised senior police officers on duty at the match for a "failure of control" and recommended the introduction of all-seater stadiums.

Margaret Aspinall, chairman of the Hillsborough Family Support Group, had a face-to-face meeting with Mr Hunt and Home Secretary Theresa May.
      'Full commitment'

She said: "He did say to me, 'I am very sorry I did not read the full Taylor report and I have read it now and I am really, really sorry for my comments'."

She said that his apology was accepted on the condition that he pushed for secret files on the tragedy to be made public.

A panel of seven people, including the Liverpool-born journalist Peter Sissons, has been set up with the support group's backing to try to establish more details of what happened at Hillsborough.

Mrs Aspinall, whose son James, 18, died at Hillsborough, said: "One of the questions we did ask [Mr Hunt] was if he was committed to the panel we have set up and we got his reassurances on that and we got those as well from Theresa May.

"I didn't accept his apology until the very end of the meeting until I knew we had his full commitment to funding as well as for the panel," she said.

Up to two million documents are expected to be examined by the panel during a task that could take up to two years to complete.
