New Season ahead...New Manager, What are your Expectations?
      Jul 01, 2010 10:49:50 pm
What do you expect of LFC next season with our new manager.

I would like to at least challenge for the top 4.
I would at least like to see 2 players up front and not have 2 holding CDM's.
I would like to see us have a long and healthy cup run in all cup's, Europa/FA/Carling. We never seem to have a healthy run, maybe with Woy we could see this.

Transfers are a total different scenario, I want to know about tactical changes to the team and league postions, certain amount of wins etc...

Were the club's managerial expectations released today at all?

My expectation is to win the League - it is every year, this is no different.

My realistic expectation will be decided when the transfer window closes and I see what squad we have left.

Well considering I have just turned on ITV News to hear 'Roy Hodgson, new Liverpool boss says there are no guarantees he will keep Torres and Gerrard', my expectations are far from high.

Are you aware that a forward slash means OR?

My aim isn't all of them.

The one thing I pray for next season is the Hicks and Gillette thread can finally be closed. Expecting Liverpool to win the league I think is very unfair on Hodgson to be honest.

I think we'll go pretty well in a very open Premier League. My guess is that Man City will be right up there and may even win it, with them and the Mancs and Chelsea gradually pulling clear by 10 points or so. Us, Arsenal and Spurs will be in a dogfight for fourth. I think we'll have a right go at the cups, and I think we might just win our first trophy for five seasons.

      1. New tactics (I want to see them playing 4-3-3 or 4-4-2)
      2. Less dependency on Torres & Gerrard in the way of play
      3. New partnership in the back (Skrtel & Agger)
      4. More players coming from the academy
      5. Buying English players to support the national team (hopefully starting with Joe Cole)
      6. Ofcourse qualifying to the CL
      7. Winning the EL and another domestic cup
      8. What matters most is that I want to see the players playing with spirit, playing each game like a rivalry one.

      That's all

4th place in the league, and a good run in the domestic cups hopefully winning one of them. That for me would be a good stepping stone on the road to recovery but most of all to be back in the Champions League is the target. Anything else would be a bonus at these difficult times but I'm quietly confident in Roy. With Roy, the players can start on a new page and start afresh and to completely forget about last season and remember who they really are.

Do you think if we sell Torres Gerrard and Masch we will be competing for a top 4 place Mick. Love your optimism but it aint going to happen, Arsenal and Tottenham will be much stronger than us next season.

I want the optimism to be high and a level of success that is much better than last season.
Most of all i want Torres to stay

If you had read the Post above you quoted you would have seen my expectations for the coming season, and I stand by what I said. If we start to believe we will loose everything, then there is no point in Supporting Liverpool.

We enter EVERY competition in the belief we can win it, if we don't then what is the point of entering?

My expectations are to see the heart and fight that Bill Shankly instilled into the soul of Liverpool Football Club being reflected in the performance of every player that wears the shirt for every minute they play, whether we're 3-0 up or 3-0 down.

If I see that then I'll be happy, even if we got relegated.
