The Europa League 2010-11: Hands up who's excited?

I'll be excited when I see us head out for our qualifier. But before I know who we're playing, then I find it a tad difficult to get up for it.

Forgot the final was in Dublin, would be amazing if liverpool got to it, there would be a great atmosphere!!

I'm defo looking forward to it. Just like a mid table team should be. With a bit of luck, we'll be able to cling on to a Europa League place next season too.

And don't take that the wrong way people. It is the rapist owners who are lowering our once great standards - not me.

Obviously not where we all want to be but I am looking forward to this and remember if we lift the trophy we will hold the record for the most wins.

Quite interesting actually because a lot of reds I've talked to would rather we were making a sharp exit from this competition and concentrating on the league position?

Thats just a positive we can take if we do exit early!

Yes we are not in the Champions league this year-

I am fully aware that right now- we dont have much to be positive about, but its not all bad- we could be fighting relegation, we could still have no manager, need i go on!

I think as long as we don't have to play some of the big boys such as Sporting Fingal, Karpaty, Differdange and Port Talbot then we've got a real chance of progressing.

I can't see why the lack of excitement, this is LIVERPOOL F.C. any competition we enter is done so in order to WIN IT not be a bit part ! if some people on here are saying
But surely 2001 WAS exciting as we'd not had that level of success for years previously, then along came 2005 and upped our expectations ! football in general and clubs in particular have their ups and downs, this is our low spot, Europa League is all we can qualify for so except it for now.
Any fan who does not get excited surely is NOT a fan !

2001 was very exciting I'm not arguing with that. not counting the fa cup in 92 (when i was 3 and the league cup in 95 when i was 5) it was the first time I'd seen the club win anything. I certantly do not whant the club to lose the cup i expect us to win it.

To have my loyalty questioned is very unfair and totally over the top. We have taken a step backwards from challenging at the top to basicly being on a level with Fulham, in the space of one season. That is something that makes me very angry and upset, and as a result I cannot get excited about a cup that shows just how poor we where last season. I'd prefer not to have reminder of last season around.

I honestly thought you meant the league, as in the Premier League.
