Remind, how many Reds, and ex-Reds were in that Final, and how many of the Scums, Chavs or BS's. were.

Anyone think that is was just a cramp from not being fit?
I hope you're right. Made the result irrelevant.

Well done to Spain! In the end the favourites did come through even when losing their first game. I don't think Howard Webb was awful. Anyone would have had a difficult time controlling that Dutch side who were far too reckless but mercy me he really should have sent De Jong off for a straight red. I don't feel the apparent foul on Elija was a foul and I think they he got that one right.

I'm glad Iniesta got the winner. He plays the proper game.

I was sitting on the fence but after the Netherlands decision to just kick sh*t out of Spain my mind was changed.

In the end - it probably ended the right way - and that is from a neutral.

Like you I wasn't sure who I wanted to win and possible favoured The Netherlands before the game but as the game went on I was hoping Spain got the result as their football deserved the win.

Also from the second half on Iniesta was outstanding and deserved to get the winner as he was the best player on the pitch and maybe one of the best in the world at the minute without creating a fuss around him like some of the other so called world class players do.

Sh*t game but I'm happy I won me €50 on Spain winning in extra time. Holland tried to stop Spain controlling the game but in the end they got tired and Spain's class proved enough to edge it.

Wasn't the best match I ever saw.  I thought the Netherlands plan of trying to play physical was a failure.  First, In any other match, DeJong would of been Red carded and suspended.  That was a blatant red card. I also though Robben, Mathisjen and Van Bronckhorst deserved Red Cards, more than once.   They didnt play Football, they looked like f***in' goons and tried to steal as many penalty shots as possible. They deserved to lose and I'm glad they did. I lost a lot of respect for that team. They played like f***in assholes for the entire match. Every time Robben lost the ball he stood their and yelled like a little girl at the referee. :f_wah: Every time. He gave Spain multiple chances and short handed attacks because he was busy arguing and rolling on the pitch like a wounded bird. Disgrace.  I expect some flops and dives, but that was beyond the normal match to match stuff.

Did anyone find out about Nando's Injury? I felt bad for him.  He just won the World Cup and couldn't even celebrate on the pitch.  It was his pass that got Iniesta the goal. I love Iniesta, great, great player.  I wish Liverpool had him. Great player, fully deserved that goal and will be a Legend forever now.

Also one of the commentators said that Torres may be playing for another team before the start of the season. Not Liverpool.  Did anyone else hear him say that?

I'm dead pleased that Spain won it.

It wasn't exactly the best final anyone has seen but I think overall, Spain deserved to win it.

I thought Netherlands were quite a physical side and should have seen more than one red card. Some referees may give red for the kick on Xabi Alonso.

Arjen Robben could have easily scored and it was frightening whenever he got the ball, but luckily for me and Spain, he didn't convert his chances.

I was worried for a second when Fernando Torres felt a tweak or something when he was chasing the ball but felt better when I saw him walking to collect his medal..

      Congratulations, Spain! Viva Espana.
