Decent enough game considering the side we fielded and the changes we made, good to see some of the youngsters get a good run out.

What a silly name for a football club. Grasshoppers. Do they want to be taken seriously?

Bit dissapointed by that but then again its the first game of the season and alot of the players were very inexperienced.Ayale was definitley man of the match for me. He played superb!

I thought Ayala was phenomenal, really showed some good things. I also liked a lot of runs Amoo put him, it seems like he created a handful of corners. Clean sheet is certainly not bad for a first friendly :)

There was no penalty. Aqua went off in the second half, didn't play much.

Ah right it was a decision that could have been a penalty against us?
I hate not being able to watch the matches.

Game over. Positives are that we saw a lot of potential in some of the young lads. A couple really impressed me e.g. Amoo, Eccleston, Kelly, Shelvey, Gulasci etc. By far, the stand-out performer was Ayala. Looked fantastic all game. Very comfortable and tidy and din't put a foot wrong. Also, great to see Riera not playing. Hopefully that is a good riddance to him. Degen was awful......absolute crap ;D hopefully that signals the end of his Liverpool career. This game was mainly about fitness and they got a good run out. Next up, Borrusia Monchangladbrach.

Ayala, Amoo and Darby stand out performers for me. Shelvey is a big unit, few nice touches and a decent burst forward at one point was good to see. Nice to see Kelly back, solid performance.

Ah i see, fair enough :)

IMO there is nothing great worth watching again but a few of the youngsters did pretty well (as already mentioned), always good to see them come in and have a solid game regardless of it being a friendly or not.

How come Degen was getting boo'ed within the first 10 minutes.

Nice runs by Amoo and Eccleston in the first 10 minutes.

Aiyeee...so we had a game tonight and I didn't realise it.
How were we doing lads? Gosh, I have spent too much time following Tour de France and didn't pay too much attention to our pre-season so far. Luckily, TdF will end pretty soon and we're back to football again. Yesss...!!!

Overall a good performance for Roys first match.Although we did not create enough chances the positives of the young players shone through MOM Ayala for me too.Nice touch from Joe Cole with the fans at half time
